  1. Think the rusty grot is the bumper heat shield, you can still get one new from Heritage. .
  2. Didnt you have a spare engine ? I think Chris Ferry has a few blocks for sale as that might be a cheaper way to go ?

    Fuel line clips - VR6

Ok I think you are after clamp number 7 on diagram ? Thats if your car is a VR6. Part number N 90686701 14x 12 spring clamp . You can still get these as I purchased some last year from the dealers from memory. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/133/subcategory/38005/part_id/3688048/lang/e

    Fuel line clips - VR6

Are you on about the double hose black clips that house on to the feed and return hose that run in between the engine block and air box ? I believe there are three of them and one attaches to a metal clip bar that is attached to the rear of the engine bay .
  8. Thanks Dox I think it helps laying the parts out as they would sit on the car so people can understand how it all works and what is there without stripping the car. I could put a bit more effort and list the individual part numbers and a photo of each part.
  9. Nio mate I got the last but one a few months back and posted that there was one left, so I guess another member snatched up the last one quickly. There is a Latvian firm on ebay that sells mostly classic parts but they do seem to have the odd part that even classics do not have. Almost like they have a warehouse with some new old stock items.
  10. Some rough ones on ebay asking silly money. Only cost £35.00 new. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-FRONT-BUMPER-SPLITTER-SUPPORT-BAR-CLAMP-BRACKET-BOLTS-VR6-G60-16V/273789709747?fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item3fbf236db3:g:UU4AAOSw52Jco44p
  11. Do you need one mate can ask a couple of people on facebook for you that will have a second hand one.
  12. This small company is making some nice obsolete parts. , Bonnet Pins Pin trims on scuttle Bonnet trumpets Window rollers Handle repair kit https://www.facebook.com/MGR-PARTS-102352814708229/?__tn__=kCH-R&eid=ARAbBmv1YN04pErbDZ05Wbr36yeTS5XwdU7FIHTm-zTiFOlmiYy6fwwdO0KvHq9OFbVm0x52i2RMnZQn&hc_ref=ARQ6BWI1EbiOnLs5e4S6djUKK7ZSqv__haF7FlQqLxVbWw3cUNJ5bI9gGLEekFx1FpA&fref=nf&__xts__[0]=68.ARAeQfWRhngEqcJ0t6y-lZJENeKhBWFL8orkyzg5Dy7t7DoKK0ZU3o2FauPmVDzt9QiilEvWu1LCJUbhwj_rYQPex_DjfYyAaQWKHOS7tRslmX0jgI4lfM2l9UuSWPtVinbj14ix-z4WiOpM2jUBj8u16ifAtVB-HriesfDFOrXOjv-Eg0QQUdJo2p6joTOpZ4yRWbyfwJ41OKAK1xA6uyzwk2eXi_641TM7ew1JDjVIs2txSAVxPgC-6Yq4Xi-srEIKw8K_G6m--ShdBeYESNDRXtMNzsVB9c2A_mDSkT70aOuYirrJQ2cIinEh1txbKsIvtCkbWNZNmOpG3WbW8AEvX04YLGAZt-cFfsfm8IzCAqcVEtWudA
  13. Just noticed it does not appear like Spoonfed items are for sale at Heritage anymore- could be wrong be I couldn't see the splitters for sale. Wonder what happened there then.
  14. Yeah I saw a Youtube video and the chap was complaining about the fit of the Spoonfed splitter, I actually got it secondhand off ebay new unused for £150.00 so just hope its all Ok. The parts I take of will be taken to the powder coaters as well and stored as spares. I think the splitter Iron can rot quite badly as it has no powder coating from factory-same as the rear bumper heat shield . What I have notice is on a stock splitter it has 5 fixings but on a Spoonfed it has 6 so I had to order another speenut from classics and bolt, well annoying ha !
  15. Thought I would share some information and the new parts I have gathered for a front bumper and rear bumper take off /inspection of body work and refurbishment. Picture illustrates new OE VW parts Front 70mm Spoonfed splitter + bolts/speed nuts Splitter Iron (purchased the one but last in stock (now obsolete) x1 right bumper bracket / bolts / x10 plastic triangle clips /wing nuts Rear X2 bumper brackets +bolts + plastic round corner clips/ X9 plastic triangle clips New bumper Heat shield powder coated + rivets. I will be powder coating x1 left front bumper bracket as obsolete + powder coating front and rear bumper Irons + new splitter Iron for protection Basically now obsolete / Left front bumper bracket +Front splitter Iron + X5 front splitter bolts N90433801 (been told these will be available soon off another member on here ) Two front corner bumper housing plastic brackets 535 807 193 + 535 807 194
  16. They use to have them MG V8 s knocking about , pretty sure they would of been lethal in the wrong hands.
  17. Yes both are actually still available well found, For some reason Heritage only sell the one but could order one in with free postage from classics. Awfully expensive for a bit of plastic. On ny R129 the trim was a lot more complex in the same place and about £25.00 new, part prices are becoming tiring on these cars. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/luftfuehrung-9673f3.html
  18. That looks absolutely mint.
  19. Me on the right rubbing my ear. Lets say I got my unpractical taste for cars off my mother.
  20. My mother had a brand new MG BGT in a rich light blue, we use to fit 6 kids in there and my older brothers and sisters would hold on to our legs when we were sitting on the roof ha, true story believe it or not. From memory they broke down all the time and were really slidy in the ice.
  21. Yes mate great news but I have to admit was putting a scaffold up at my mates house today and he has a 996s in polar silver, getting a real itch for one again unfortunately, still a very common car compared to a Rado though !
  22. All looks good mate this is what will keep these cars alive. In regards to the tanks straps mine came out showing a bit of pitting as well, If I ever get anything powder coated from now I give it a good sanding first with some very low grade sandpaper and a wire brush in the drill.
  23. Just got off the phone to Vince and he recommends 268 cams for a Schrick VGI set up as 263 cams are more low down and the VGI does that job and no benefits, so 268 cams will get the high end for me so that is what I will go for. Hoping to achieve 230 BHP but the engine will have to settle in first for at least 5000 miles to see its full potential. Also its no going to 3.0 litres as you would have to forge the pistons- just an increase from 2,861 CC to 2,900 CC so true 2.9
  24. My car had a rebuild on 62k for some reason and now on 160k on the clock . So this will be the second rebuild. Its the oil consumption that is the dead give away, had it on a 911 before on 62k miles and got the bores boroscoped, hey presto scored cylinders, one of several of Porsche's catastrophic engine failures in low mileage M996 and M997 engines. . Corrado Top end probably up to 1.5- 2 K with chains and top and bottom around or just below the 4K region. Thing is one could give it a go but I reckon there are fair few that did that and it backfired on them literally. Vince was telling me about how they measure each piston preciesy and then hone each bore out individually,- never take for granted the precision engineered parts supplied, you need to check the measurements yourself or in my case Vince will . I'm not expert on the figures but hoping with 3.0 litres and schrick manifold + 263 Schrick cams+ Map I might be able to achieve 240 BHP but have no idea to be quite honest. Anyone out there have an educated guess on what the above set up would achieve?
