  1. Also might be worth asking J and M if they can possibly do an upgrade for a VR running high power output.
  2. Mate if you click on the link it has upgraded drive axles up to a certain amount of power - has one up too 400 BHP. There is a six speed option one for a 2,9- will need to check if its for a 2.9 I guess as based in the States. Pricey though. https://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Corrado--VR6_12v/Drivetrain/Axles/
  3. Never been to keen on the stock Corrado steering wheel and browsing options but would like something a bit retro. Found this cool thread many classic VW options from Votex - Nardi- Momo- Italovanti. Good read. https://forums.fourtitude.com/showthread.php?4136322-Aftermarket-Steering-Wheels-(Rare-Cool-Unique-Interesting)
  4. As long as its sealed its fine - or see if it houses correctly with a bit cut off.
  5. Will do mate, be a good guess when ready but something to look forward to with all the bad stuff going on at the moment, cant wait to put on the motor sport alloys, should not be long now in till I have the caps and the alloys delivered from the powder coaters- went for factory silver. Just need a set of of Recaro then and I will be happy I have created my ideal corrado.
  6. Hi Chap, The ABS is still installed mate. its hiding behind the coolant bottle to the lower left, you can see the brake lines entering it. Im sure some have deleted it but I think its a MOT failure if you do that in the UK, however when a car becomes 40 years old in the UK you do not need a MOT inspection or pay tax. Most people upgrade to a MK3 Teves abs system I believe. Im sure someone on here could tell you the benefits, I'm not clued up on it.
  7. Yep there seems to be not much difference in price for a set of caps and a set of wheels with caps. I noticed GRYP are making Sebring ones which are a lot more complex.
  8. Corradoship makes you become a hoarder I can't help it ha!
  9. Got some photos off Vince, Engine out. The bores were worn and were very polished - so needed doing for sure. Also one of the alternators brackets were snapped ! Need to replace bottom and top radiator hose as that damn Topran oil cooler failure the oil has bloated them - only a year old grrrr. Crack pipe was ready to drop off. Very happy with the body work in the engine bay now its all visible with the engine removed. Only getting some parts of the engine powder coated because some parts if powder coated can come off with the heat and damage parts. Other parts will be using manifold silver spray paint. Vince will be giving me a guide to breaking in the engine - upto 2700 and certain revs - will post this when I have the details. Pictures attached.
  10. I was tempted to buy it for myself but thought share the love 😝.
  11. Try a tiny bit of carb cleaner ?
  12. That looks in good nick is that one of your spares mate.
  13. Happy Days I really want a set, I know water is meant to get in the internal doors but as these get old I think it lets a lot more in then it should.
  14. I would get the Ford one if your in North America - should get a good price. Looking at that picture you might be able to put a clean cut in and re use it.
  15. Im getting that Bremen when its better value but think its going to be a while until the price drops. its doing very well in the classic market, all the Porsche punks have them
  16. French company makes them, also have some other goodies on there site for a Corrado. https://www.gryp-3d.com/gb/corrado/310-clips-de-baie-de-pare-brise.html
  17. The car does look in a very well preserved condition so money well spent. Pretty standard seats but look in very good condition.
  18. We would like to see your seats - we are wondering what they are and if unique to a Japanese import. We will be able to give you a valuation of interior ha.
  19. Heee he you are talking yourself into it. The last seller got it for £6500 looking at the link Dox posted or maybe even cheaper, If I was looking at it I would be so what have you done to the car in the last couple of years, also bubbling on arches so would be having a thorough inspection there.
  20. Sure 8k is a fair bit of money but how much would it cost to get it up to that ? Has had Stealth do the work so should be A1 engineering on it which is a huge bonus. Running similar setup to Seans by the look of the power output figures.
  21. Bit of a beast for sale. VRT https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORRADO-VR6-TURBO-VRT-LSD-380BHP-375ft-lb-Golf-R32-GTi-GTR-R-WRX/223976094382?hash=item342603faae:g:U6kAAOSw~15elEXs
  22. It's a shame that Japan nutters site is still not running, the Op might of been able to find his car on there and a bit of history about it.
  23. I have seen other high end cars in LHD from Japan to be fair though.. This is a prime example of a high spec car from Japan with Brabus. Have a read of the add how expensive these cars where back in the day. Good 15k more then a Ferrari and rightly fully so a much better engineered car . The seller is a large importer might be worth someone looking for a Rado to ask them to source one , the ops car all the cabling and parts in the engine bay look so new and has rare parts. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-SL-600-V12-CONVERTIBLE-LEFT-HAND-DRIVE-AMG-WHEELS-BRABUS-BADGES/353047773681?hash=item52334981f1:g:IPgAAOSw1r5bUfgB
  24. Would be a 2.8 if imported from the USA ?- might of been a USA soldier based in Japan that imported it from Germany because they wanted the 2.9 block but never ended up taking it back to the States.
  25. Ok Stuart interesting so the one you have is painted chap ? Cheers.
