Halfords dude.
-
:) - I didn't say that.... you need a mirror and lots of patience. Back to what I said earlier - it's not a magnetic sensor like the wheel ones so I would only bother changing it if the code comes back again
-
Blackberry Storm - the holy grail! Probably would drive like new tbh, rubber doesn't seem to wear / perish much at all if not used and especially if it's been kept in that garage the whole time - superb!
-
Yeah sorry mate - the orange rubber may not have been from a T4 after all  The PN is 1J0 253 147D - same profile as Corrado but half width. There are always the Ford ones C&R sell with the built in chains but to be honest, the original Corrado ones will last a good 10-12 years as long as the exhaust is a good fit. Could you also get me a pair TT rear wishbone bushes in (you only had one on the shelf when I was there the other day)
-
What did it say under the code?? The BPPS is located under the master cyl on the servo - easy enough to change. Like most sensors on a car that is over 12 years old it could probably do with changing for a new one.
-
They are £250 roughly from VW. Euro are ATE dealers though so should be able to get one hopefully a bit cheaper.
-
I really like Garmin and find them less 'busy' that the TomTom interface.... I'd maybe wait for a bit if you can though - xmas price wars and january sales etc Also Google have just moved into the GPS software market and share prices of the above two companies both nose-dived!
-
Yep, replace (make sure you get genuine ones) and also clean and re-grease - seats will move like new then and you will feel much more stable going round corners!
-
Hmmm - very interesting!! I've got an older Garmin at the moment which is great but I may upgrade to a Widescreen Nuvi soon as I expect them to come down in price nicely for xmas!
-
Cool - you found the right part then, was going to dig the number out for you tonight if not! So they fitted ok as a straight swap or did you use 2 for every one standard one (as they are half width I think?) Could you add a set to my order please mate and I will pick up the week after next (In London this next week)

Ah - the pic must be on photbucket I think - at work so can't see it. -

You only just had an MOT didn't you?? -
Synta from VW - cheap and good quality, change it every 5k miles.
-
Team Dynamics Pro Race range are very good quality and well priced - made in the UK too!
-
Also watch the size belts you get - non genuine ones are the wrong size for a standard pulley and a worn tensioner, should be a 6PK1658 but this is then way to big for a 68mm pulley which requires a 6PK1638 ideally. Crap belts also stretch, needs to be a Gates or Continental brand

I bought them becuase I was running out - going to rebuild the TDI with them and hopefully make it as solid and rattle free as the G60! I can't really list the part numbers as it was part of an £1200 TPS order but you bassically want Clips for the rear door cars, pillar trims, interior sill trims , badge grommets, felt tape plus any missing screws, cover caps, broken trim parts etc.
-
Yep - I have just bought about 3 cars worth of everthing, all still available.
-
Just to re-enforce what Yan says about single use, also many clips originally had a ring off felt round them from new but almost every car I have broken / had bits off has had these missing on every other clip. £50 on all new plastic clips and some felt does wonders!
-
They look a good product but in my experience the damper will usually wear out before the bushes so you really need to change the whole unit - roughly every 60k miles. Bushes only really get knackered taking the thing off and on again
-
Doesn't mean anything... you really need to get it scanned by someone with a 1551 or VAGCOM.
-
Hello, the switch is in the selector mech (near the auto stick) but I think you really need a manual ECU to do this.
-
Probably wiring then - it's the thinner Red / White wire that controls the low speed
-
Strange - it's usually the switch itself... You checked the wiring to that plug and also the rad fan plug looks ok - look inside the plugs etc...
