  1. Yep same and still available - about £30 now though!
  2. VW dealer mate - it's a fairly current engine and they are used to fault finding on R32's by now... I'd just turn up at your local and try and get a free scan and some advice
  3. If your going to get it done anywhere I get it done in the car park of a good bodyshop / coachworks - seriously! That way if there are any problems with the paint underneath it can be dealt with right there before the new screen is put in.
  4. New caliper... I'd never buy a second hand MK4 caliper either - they corrode and fail just as much as the older ones, buy new and paint before you install!
  5. The Audioscape name / brand was sold off with all the pod moulds etc and they are now being produced by some bloke in his bedroom - from what I have heard the quality is not up to what James used to produce but then they are 60% of the price. Just glad I bought mine in one of the original £150 group buys but interested to see what these are like... I remember James telling me he's never do a GB again with a price point that low as it simply wasn't worth his time doing them even in bulk but then he most probably had more overheads than the new bloke. Stick some pics up when you get a chance!
  6. Give your dealer a slap! N 905 507 01 - Speed Nut
  7. Keep hitting it dude... I assume you are trying to do it with the shaft in situ? - The only time I have managed this is on a ramp as you can't get enough force on the ground. If you don't have any luck in the next 10 mins I would take the shaft off and stick in it in a vice = You can get a long spline tool do undo the bolts from the gearbox flange.
  8. Do the sheer bolts do anything in terms of safety? I just fitted 4 allen bolts in case it needed to come out again but now wonder if I should replace the 2 with sheers...
  9. It's one bolts that goes thru to tighten it and it clips to the assembly above... it is easier to drop the whole thing down though using the 2 x 13mm nuts but make sure you undo the hoses first or they may twist. To replace that assembly just buy the later plastic cradle which the new filter just clips into, 2 x M8 Stainless Nylocks and new fuel line clips - you might also want to treat the underseal if the rust has spread the the car chassis as it tends to...
  10. Sheet! - that's not good! Those bushes are a git but at least they are diy - I tried to put some powerflex ones in, failed and got my mate to do it who almost stabbed himself in the process! Might have to pop round sometime when you are next corradoing?
  11. It is yeah... not sure if VAG do it though but if they do it will be a 'repair kit' Could also try GSF or a Bosch dealer - give them the 10 digit Bosch part number of the dizzy and they should be able to drill down from there.
  12. I'd honestly stick with VW mate - I've seen Justmatz stuff start too look shabby after 3 years and they don't look OE either... £56 is a bargain, just bought some new Scirocco mats for £85 the set!
  13. I really wouldn't use anything other than the genuine VW one made by Valeo... especially if you have a girlfriend with nice legs! GSF used to get Valeo ones but they were not the same quality as the VW supplied ones, maybe seconds?
  14. You've most likely got the wrong bulb in one of the sockets....
  15. Hello - Glad you found the problem fairly quickly - the pulley is cheap but as you say the crank itself is not... You can however re-face them if it's not too bad - there is a special tool for this and I know Steve at C&R has one so that could be an option.
  16. Copyright... Here is a pic I took of the pair of them in action yesterday! That Dave guy sure is one crazy mofo...
  17. Dudos - Yes the Goodridge hoses come with the Banjo bolts.
  18. Could well be a lambda sensor issue or the wiring too it breaking down on the ECU loom side (near the rear engine mount) - basically the lambda becomes the king sensor when the ECU switches to the warm map. If you have a spare blue temp sensor you can test this by letting the problem arise and then unplugging the blue, the revs should drop and then plug into the spare (cold) sensor and it should pick up again. If this then runs ok then it's almost certainly the Lambda.
  19. I'd suspect a setup / sensor issue as the SNS chips run fairly clean (providing it's for the right size pulley etc!) Was the Lambda genuine Bosch? - The universal ones seem to last 5 minutes.
  20. Turn2 - now there is a name from the past! As Kev says the BMC CDA is the way to go.
  21. Haha - yeah where I meant to write 'Don't' I actually seem to have put 'Geraldine'.... I got a load of prices off them before for work but was a while ago - don't think it was much though - maybe £25
  22. That's early Corrado mate.... The late ones were concave like the gauge holders. Accessory number is 051 VAG 013 for Early / RHD
