  1. Ok, could be the rear calipers not self adjusted... I would release the handbrake cables and pump the pedal a good few times and make sure the rear brake pads move in and out, then clamp the valve open and bleed the rears again, pump the pedal a few times then re-connect the handbrake. Try and drive it a bit as long as you think it's safe and get them bedded in
  2. No - he built a Corrado R32 ages ago...
  3. Could be air has got into the ABS system.. have the pads bedded in since they were changed?
  4. Probably best not click on the timing chains and clutch artical yet then
  5. It's in the Bentley but I would just pay a windscreen fitter
  6. Well done mate - yeah that looks a beast, should keep you busy for a while - compressor has been one of my best buys, so many uses! Like I said to you on Sunday, try and get a decent Snap-On or BluePoint windy gun (look on eBay) and a proper PCL tyre gauge - these things will last forever if looked after! For other tools then checkout Toolstation as they do some nice cheap kit that is reasonable quality.
  7. On a VR? You will need 5.5 Ltrs of oil, a 36mm Socket for the filter housing and a 5 or 6mm allen key to drain said housing. 17mm Allen for the gearbox drain and check you can undo the filler first - you will also need some way of getting the oil in, long bit of plastic tube with a funnel. Fuel filter - you might want a couple of stainless M8 nuts for the filter carrier and also 2 new fuel line clips for the filter. As above all fairly easy but worth making sure you have the right parts and tools first if doing it at home. Worth also having a look in the Knowledge base as I think all 3 jobs are covered - http://wiki.the-corrado.net/category_engine_bay.html
  8. Screwed to the back of the rear seats is always a good place
  9. Well, every 2 years really but I'm fairly sure you have a leak... you could bleed it now and it might fix it for a bit but I would look at doing the slave anyway (cheaper and easier) if it's not been done recently? You can undo it and check for fluid leaks inside the gearbox - also is it a black painted part? If so it could be original!
  10. You can sometimes see brake fluid on top of the gearbox if it's really bad but they usually leak internally... These cars are now reaching the age where slave cylinders have usually been changed once and it can be the master failing. When was the fluid last changed?
  11. Yep, no signal then the car will use a default value for the warm up map and run very rich. You can measure resistance accross the pins to see if it's totally dead or not but you need vagcom on it really
  12. Yep - I'd be interested too but I did look into this a couple of years ago and it's going to be around £150-£200 for a half decent job - most trimmers won't do them as it's such a difficult job to do well.
  13. Usually ignition based as above.... Look at plugs, leads, coil pack (or dizzy cap and arm)
  14. Standard blade fuses (not the mini ones).... much or a muchness but the proper VW ones do seem to last very well as with everything. I fuses blow there is usually an issue on that circuit. Leads - either standard VAG again or BERU from VWspares.co.uk.
  15. JD's the G60 king, the quality of those builds is immense!
  16. http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2684546 What a total pea-nos I really hope those wheels are reps and not the real thing.
  17. What year is it - I thought late 8V's were Plus suspension anyway or is it just the Outer CV's that are VR6?
  18. Hello, I am wanting to entirely replace the brake lines on a MK2 / Corrado rear beam with Flexi / braided from the compensator to the MK4 calipers I am running. (So basically deleting / replacing the solid steel lines and the axle and caliper flexi's) The Question is does anyone know the lengths I need to order? I can take a rough guess but I'd rather get it right first time as the hoses are going to cost around £50 to get made up.
  19. You can just change the bearing as per the knowledge base or is the pulley itself damaged?
  20. The effect you are getting is called Bump-steer... often not helped by lowered suspension. What setup are you running? if you look under the car do the wishbones point upwards towards the outside (wheels) ?
  21. LOL - I've tried to tell my mum about this Throttle pedal and also the concept of progressive braking but it's still On/Off switches to her :?
  22. You can get the plug and repair wire though - they just need to look in the electrical catalogue
  23. I need to purchase one as well - did you get a good price? cheapest I can find a Bosch one is just over £50
  24. Cool - are you using water based stuff Neil or does VW still supply the proper stuff if it's older paint? How much was the paint if it's from VAG out of interest? My 2 Ltrs of DBP was about £80 from Movac in Ipswich.
