  1. Sorry, missed the replies to this... 2 door - you can try them but Vince at Stealth and Powersex themselves say they are not suitable for FI petrol engines CrazyG - prolly worked this out now but you can drill out the bit of the old hanger that holds the rubber and replace with an M10 nut and bolt, works well!
  2. Yep, they sag by about 10-15 mm over 100k miles (but probably wouldn't get any worse than this) The main issue is the drivers side usually sags more than the other... TBH - it's nice to put completely new kit on but it's all down to cost... If I had a late VR i'd be tempted to get the earlier kit from VW to lose that 4x4 ride height if trying to stick fairly standard.
  3. Have you checked the ECU yet? - I'd do this before anything else, especially if the cars had a replacement windscreen!
  4. I think Eric might actually wet himself when he sees this... Cnut - awesome avatar dude, I might have to steel that!
  5. It's 8mm ID hose you need and yep, GSF no longer do that size which seems bizzare seeing as there whole business was built on selling spares for VW's! Halfords do it and i'm sure all stores should have it apart from maybe the smaller metro's - make sure you get the high quality stuff with the 'ribbed' finish as this will last longer and bend better - vey cheap with the trade card! If not just search Goodyear 8mm on eBay
  6. Agree with Andy ^ The thing with BMW's is they have such a bad driver reputation - you'd just feel like a bell-piece driving round in one! Keep it VAG.
  7. Does your rear window heater work - if so it's not a fuse... as above the connections corrode, prise the mirror glass off with a plastic ruler and check them out.
  8. Yeah that was brillaint, especially Ferarri not watching after they'd won - wonder how much Glock got paid? Well deserved by Lewis tho - thought for a minute he was going to do the very British thing of losing right at the last minute... ITV - well I certainly won't miss the crap commentary from James Allen and advert breaks every 5 minutes one bit.
  9. The blue /grey is just switch illumination and I think the black is switched 12V feed, thats why it goes down the loom and both of these plug into the top part of the fusebox - you'll see spaces next to other similar 1 pin plugs The brown is the earth but and I think it should terminate at a point on the chassis close to the relays, again should g down the loom...
  10. TT comps do look awesome on a Corrado, offset is fine and thats what i'd run if I had a VR I reckon...
  11. You won't really notice much handling wise with the wider wheels but you will lose ride quality and you'll really notice this going from 15's to 17's let alone fitting coilies!
  12. Full engine swap?? Must easier to take the whole front off, easier to get to bits etc...
  13. If that was a VAG dealer then they need a slap... pure lazyness It's easy to find on ETKA and also in the service manuals 021145933H - £23 It's a 7PKK1360
  14. Hi there, on the Corrado the pipe that runs from the res to the master is just a push fit - bit worrying when your pressure bleeding but I've never had it come off... did the parts you changed above make any difference to the original problem? Did you use a genuine VW / ATE slave? A faulty slave that is not changed asap will put extra pressure on the master so this is how yours may have failed but you should also check the pipe that runs between the master and slave for leaks and I would bleed the clutch again before you change any other parts - use an eezibleed kit. The other thing that might have happened is the clutch fork is bent - this is unlikely tho unless the car was driven and really forced into gear because the clutch wasn't actuating fully...
  15. Yeah, it's something we really want to sort out and also allow as many as possible to update / pubblish articles. Currently the user / login database on the Wiki is screwed and not letting 'pass-thru' authentication from CF accounts... Unfortunately Dom is working abroad and Andi is the only other person who can sort this and he's currently in rehab for alcohol, drug and sex addiction - we're hoping he'll be out by xmas but we really don't know, he's a very sick man!
  16. You get the circlip, hub nut etc with the CV kit, you also get a nut with the bearing kit and the 2 nuts for the suspension, I would also buy new bolts to go with these and also the plate and the 3 bolts for the BBJ as you don't get these either, just the pinch bolt in the bearing kit.
  17. They are the next step up from the Lupo's - more suited to the shape of the screen so don't judder - awesome!
  18. Thread resurection - where's your site gone Jurgen?
  19. You'll be ok Greame, rears are fairly offset - it's the fronts you have to be careful with longer bolts hitting the trigger rings
  20. Sounds fairly healthy but I'd always get the charger inspected if you don't know the history...
  21. Lambda's on the same circuit- check the wiring for this first which connects near the rear engine mount
  22. Yeah, either unplug the ECU or just one of the sensors on the turret - this will disable the ABS... Worth checking the ECU tho as it might be full of water... the other thing that would cause this behavior is one sensor out of spec to the other, I had this after changing one for a genuine part but because the new one was Siemens and the old was ATE (and 10 years old) I ended up doing the other side too... Other thing to check is the BPPS but you need VAG COM really to tie it down to one of the 5 sensors.
  23. The only difference should be manual as opposed to Auto I'd buy an exchange one from VW, well priced and they last
  24. The other confusing thing is the calipers known as 'G60' or Girling 60's are a twin pot caliper that was fitted to the Audi S2, these work on a Corrado using 280's and the matching S2 carriers and pads
