  1. Still under warranty maybe mate?? (VW parts come with 2 years)
  2. LOL - did you have a lok at the wiring to that ran fan switch? just check the 3 pins look ok and are making good contact...
  3. Install Instructions from the Vag manual (for cars april 94 on I think) Remove any paint residue, bonding agent residue and or corrosion on threads/splines of the outer joint. Fit drive shaft. Guide outer joint into wheel hub splines as far as possible. Fit 12 point nut and pull outer joint into the wheel hub until the outer joint is in position. Connect ball joint to wishbone (35nm, bolts on old marks) Fit inner joint and tighten bolts to 45nm. Coat surface of twelve point nut with oil and screw on as far as possible. Lower vehicle, but ensure wheels do not touch the ground
  4. No No No!!! Late VR's only need to be done up to 50Nm + 30 degrees with the car off the ground, anything more and you could damage the bearing!
  5. What car mate - I can't keep track of your purchases! Maybe temp gauge sender reading wrong? or faulty or incorrect switch??
  6. Hmmm - must be something fairly fundamental to stop the starter from actually turning the engine regardless of whether it then runs or not... Factory imob or ignition switch i'd say... i'd expect a good autoelectrician to be able to pinpoint the fault within 30 mins!
  7. They've changed hands 2 or 3 times but the current guys running it (members of staff from the early days) seem to have it sorted, really nice workshop, good prices and friendly service / advice...
  8. Yep - you need ones for 'plus' suspension (5 stud)... Really best to stick with genuine VAG stuff for rear beam bushes...
  9. I'm in Woodbridge... loads of Corrado's round East Anglia!
  10. First off take your parcel shelf out and check the boot lights not staying on... a common fault If not You need to do a drop test... basically measure current drawn with the engine off, anything over 0.1 amp shows a fault, you then need to pull fuses one at a time until that figure goes to normal (closer to zero) - once you know what circuit the faults on you can start looking at individual components..
  11. Ah - the air con blower is different I think... should be simple tho, get in there with a good torch and try and work out whats holding it...
  12. Hello - if it's a MOMO type (most are) then you will need to remove the 6 allen head screws and then the horn button to get to the big 22 or 24mm num underneath... Make sure you have the right size socket and start with a straight wheel - maybe mark the position with some tipexx as the shaft is splined for adjustment. Lastly, if your refitting the MOMO wheel, you can get new allen bolts from Halfords (see the bike section - brake disc bolts) - I say this becuase they are crap metal and often round...
  13. It's any Lupo using the Aero Style wipers (early ones didn't) Late MK1 TT wipers are also worth a look altho more expensive they work even better
  14. Supercharged

    Coolant type

No point using anything else really, it's no more expensive than the generic stuff, same with the screenwash - the VW stuff is actually cheaper than Halfords...
  15. Yeah - easiest way to do it is to remove the bonnet from the hinges, that was it's easy to line back up again as this is put on the car before it's painted so you can clearly see where it meets - suprisingly easy to swap considering the oval holes for adjustment... I assume your taking a bad one off but if not, make sure you have something soft to put it on and don't leave it stood up on it's 'corners'
  16. Yep, could be a few things but renew the ECU and Fuel pump relays first...
  17. Could also be a seized rear brake bias vale / calipers / handbrake etc...
  18. Not really, last time I bought a set I got 3 black and 3 red  my mate sorted it out tho after a call to parts technical but i think he still has the 3 black ones on the shelf...
  19. VW sell them individually matey - £10-£20 each depending on which one (length)
  20. Yeah - i'm really impressed with the Halfords ones (forget who actually makes them) - much better than the Osrams and good beam pattern (doesn't seem to dazzle) - only £10 a pair if you can aquire a trade card... Yeah, I think it's only 100W that will damage the reflectors really...
  21. Hmmm - I think the main problem is the fan not working, we need to find out why... I don't know where the control module is tho if not in the engine bay??? The air lock should go once water is circulating, especially if you run with out the cap off for a few mins... sure the water pumps are working, certainly sounds like the rad is getting hot...
  22. Surely 100W will be brighter and output more heat tho?
  23. £1000 £1750 £250 £750 £500
