  1. Yeah - plastics fine, it does warp and go brittle but thats over years, just buy new... New Front one has 3 outlets now so make sure VW also give you the extra blanking and clip. I know a company in the states does a metal rad elbow but it's expensive and your still going onto the plastic rad surround anyhow... MK1's had metal water outlets but they are now obselete - the one at the side will fit tho if you can get hold of one...
  2. L100PY_H, Late MK2 / MK3 191 955 985 A (£1.65) Or 986 A for heated (£17)
  3. coolrado, good tip but I've heard the picture will not be as good as if you were using RGB?
  4. Did they change the slave when they fitted the clutch??? You have a leak somewhere and it's most likely the slave or the flexi pipe leading to it - check the fluid level and for leaks ontop of the gearbox.
  5. I'm gonna hold out for ProjectFurk...
  6. Yeah - they advertise in the preium mags like Evo etc... they do Pork, Jags and Aston's mainly i think...
  7. I reckon that will fit if you want it to wipe the number plate
  8. Goldie, say £85 delivered...
  9. Yeah Nick likes his EBC's and Kev's got some too (but obviously better ones than Nick just to see if he copies him and upgrades ) Mine weren't particuarly shiney like the Golf ones were but they are full of metal and the new VAG discs are half worn at 5k miles - a tad agressive I think!!!!!! The ones on my Golf were standard Mintex with matching discs, I had no end of problems with the squeeking and going shiney, took them off 3 or 4 times and sanded then rebedded in and eventually stuck some Pagids in and they were fine so I've used Pagid ever since - I sent the Mintex back to the shop who sent to the factory and they concluded the compound was wrong and refunded me but for the amount of hastle i had... I thought I'd try them as GSF recommended them and did them at a good price and I thought at least Mintex had attmitted the mistake the first time round so gave them a go... never again tho!
  10. Yeah, even a new standard mount is too soggy really for the VR and won't help gearchanges etc - when they let go they stick a nice dent in the bonnet!
  11. PMSL! - there is a clubgti thread where someone asked 'Does this mean the RR figures go up or down?' - made me chuckle!
  12. Yeah I heard they were in trouble at the start of the year... I don't think it's any great loss to the VW tuning scene really (not for our cars anyway) but it's a shame these specialists keep loosing the reputations they have built up... I assume they are going in a different unit to BBT's as the existing one is tiny??
  13. What are you doing with your Extreme's Ross?? I'm thinking of taking mine back and fitting either standard Pagid or VAG...
  14. I thought it was 2 drivers side arms needed??
  15. I've got that problem at the moment after reluctantly buying from GSF when they said they couldn't get Pagid FR's anymore... I had the same problem with Mintex on a Golf too - never buying anything Mintex again, utter sh1te! I've taken the pads off, sanded and re-greased, re-bedded in and they're sqeeking again already... The hoses Tekara has are the ones you need assuming they are banjo connection?
  16. JIMMI, forgive me if i'm wrong but you asked almost exactly the same question the other day in the suppliers section and it was answered... If you don't believe the answer just ring up VW or GPC and ask - please do not cross post!!!
  17. Got the blades the right way round?? - they are the same length but the offset is different...
  18. What engine is it?? G60's are awful at Idle as you are driving the G-unit...
  19. Yeah bit thin but maybe ok in this climate depending on the state of the engine - It will give you an idea of what gaskets need changing anyhow  If you have it already I'd chuck it in and if it does seem a bit thin then treat it as a flush and replace with Synta etc...
  20. Does it do it every time? - may have just been 'dry' when you started initially...
  21. They are the same, stick them in hot water and puch them onto the car first not the badge!
  22. Heated washers from VW or GSF, they are expensive tho... I have swapped the washers in both cars for standard non heated Golf ones and they are fine, as long as the fluid is correct they never freeze up and the new nozzels make a big difference - £5 a pair from VW!
  23. I bought a brand new weatherstrip at Stanford Hall about 3 years ago for a quid! - shame i stuck it in the boot and then shut the lid onto it, lol
  24. Stealth mate - only place i'd go, well worth the trip especially the drive back after the tune up!
