  1. Hi Claire, how did you test the fan coming on at both speeds? That blue wire with connector is normal to be not connected - I think it's only for models with aircon... If you tested the fan still in circuit then it won't be a fuse - I think the problem is the rad thermoswitch which is located half way between the top and bottom pipes on the rad with 3 wires going to it.
  2. Yeah, there is a blank connector on the induction pipe of euro cars (it's used in the US for emmisions)
  3. Nick, try the Irwin Bolt Grippers on the CP bolts... BTW - if you need new bolts look under a later Golf on ETKA (they don't show up for Corrado)
  4. I would change the housing too if it's not been done before http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_cooling.php
  5. yep... Button? - edit: sheet, I think your looking at the brake fluid revesvior! - don't stick coolant in there!!!!!
  6. Ah - might have mis-read that, the Corrado switch is a Polo 6N part.
  7. No - it's a 6N polo part.
  8. Try changing the Blue Temp sender
  9. Craig, yeah it will obviously depend on make etc but most 'good' tyres will be V rated anyway - have a look on mytyres to compare...
  10. Your good.... ...with my help, you could be the best  - yeah thats the general idea mate but you can pay a surcharge that you get back when you have swapped it, you have to do this within 2 weeks tho! Make sure you get a new belt unless yours is new and check the tensioner too...
  11. Nice! - buy a really long HT lead!
  12. VW - they are 95 + vat retail, if you get good discount they can be had for around £65 + vat

It may very well be the clocks - they go wrong more on new cars than old ones

  16. Yeah the G60 does not remember faults... It does already have a chip holder tho in a metal case so no need to solder the board...

Just replied to your other thread - Halfords do sell the Gunsons Eezibleed kit
  18. 10v is probably about right with the car not running but i'd give the battery a charge anyways... Are you sure the ignition timing is correct after swapping the diz?
  19. First of all take the GSF kits back and buy decent ones from a SFK dealer or VW... Are you doing the brake discs too? (It's normally advisable as they wear at roughly the same rate as bearings - life expectancy is 80-120k miles) Has your car got ABS?
  20. As Kev says it will invalidate your insurance to feed lower rated tyres, the difference in cost is negligable so the article seems to be pointless!
  21. You need an Eezibleed kit, about £12-£15 from Halfords, GSF, any other good motor factors...
  22. I've done the above eric, several times and all checks out fine
  23. Yeah deffo not bullet proof!
