I wouldn't bother with second hand unless you find a very good one with known low mileage at a cheap price... Buy new from VW!
-
Yeah - don't use gunk! - far better products out there that don't make the car stink for a month!
-
LOL - well VW call it a boot too according to ETKA, it's only you yanks that call it a trunk!
-
Yeah, not driven the 5 R32 but I prefer the GTi (which I have driven and it's great!) or the MK4 R
-
Here's a pic of the box from the other thread...
-
That thread highlights even more problems i'd not considered... Have you trial fitted it at all??
-
The bolts are catching on the ABS cages!!
-
Thats wrong for a start as the G60 and VR6 both use 02a but the bell housings are completly different... I would have thought it would also need custom driveshafts too with mk4 inner CV's?
-
What will it actually fit then???

LOL - thats got to be the worst feedback record i've ever seen!!! -
I think you just get the seals - nipples etc need to be bought seperatly... You can also get kits with the bolts and boots for about the same price

Could it be running lean? -
Yeah, it's 1" 1/16th (but 27mm should do)
-
Cool - are you changing it for a new cooler? I ask because you need 2 mk1 water pipes if not and a shorter thread for the oil filter to go on... I have a nut off mine in the garage, will go and measure it for you...
-
Yeah, most stuff has been covered - make sure you check out the knowledge base too Yeah! - thats the sort of thing that could be up with 2_door's motor...
-
It should be held on by a nut i think under the oil filter - will be a AF size Then should just slide off the bar...
-
What a knobber tho - he must have known he'd be found out and people would be after him... maybe he knew he was getting the boot.

Various methods... Big bar Cable ties as spring compressors... modified G clamp.. I do mine with a large plastic dumbell!
-
Just take it back to them... they should have noticed when they ran the car up to temp!
-
Yeah - got mine... Not exactly what I was expecting  but cheers anyway KADVR6, think I owe you a pint at the RR day...
