Here is where it locates... (Sorry only got a VR pic on my laptop but same as a G60)

Hi, has anyone fitted one of these with the standard FPR and FPR adapter and had problems with the regulator leaking where it meets the rail? O ring is in good condition but the edge can still be seen when the fpr is tightened up into the adapter - this is making it weep ever so slightly and you can also hear it when the pump primes...

Who is the oldest Corrado driver you know?

Cool - \pM me your details dude
-
and 10 for me please dude...

Ah nice one mate - knew it would be a wiring / connection problem... Are you sure it's a live wire? - if so that must be the difference between Corrado and mk4, I've got my new mk4 sender on the way...
-
Already info on these if you search - very tight fit but works a treat, no hayfever for me and the glass inside does not seem to need cleaning ...

Yeah, not sure about the Extremes but thats all GSF can get now... I had a problem on a mk2 with some Mintex pads squeeking that I took off and sanded and bedded back in several times before changing to some standard Pagid's (that were cheaper) and didn't have any more probs... I then took the pads back to the shop and they sent the pads back to Mintex for testing and were found to be faulty and I was refunded, I thought i'd give them another try as at least they admitted the fault the first time but I just don't think they match the VW discs as well as pagid do... (Pagid seem to work better than VW's own ones) They are just a dusty as the FR's and altho they bite well i'm still not sure if they are as good - 1000 miles now so must be fully bedded in... I paid £55 inc vat for a pair of 280mm calipers (exchange) but that was a trade price from my mate at Audi, I suspect the 288mm ones are more as they are bigger...

Welcome to the forum! This is more likely to be the blower fault... http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm

Loving the engine pic - snail could almost be oem! Went out in this with Nick after G-werks - Very very smooth car indeed!
-
Well - if there are extra bits involved or something has been bodged to work then it's more likely to develop a fault

If you search for charger AND bypass you should find the part number or at least length of a belt to fit...

Fan belt for 8v with a turbo and no supercharger?

Please do not keep re-posting - locking this one. -
..Or you can just get the parts from a mk1 to save butting anything down
-
I take it you couldn't get the pagid's either then?? Not sure what to say about the Mintex, bedded them in carefully but i'm getting a really annoying intermittent squeek - thats with brand new calipers too, all greased up properly etc...
-
Well - I think the resistance works the opposite way round between mk2 and mk4 so I'm thinking maybe you have a mk4 sender or some sort of box inline to sort the signal out??
-
What have you checked / changed?? Classic one is the vac hose from the TB to the ECU - It must be 1m exactly long (and in good condition)
-
What did you get in the kit and where from? - You need a part or two from a mk1 (no oil cooler) to fit
-
Ah - got some Mintex 'Extreme' pads too I see - the packaging is ridiculous!
-
It's just an M10 I think mate - fairly standard... You want a goodridge kit of an early MK3 I think or maybe just a standard late Corrado one. They do look like the right calipers as they are ATE just without the banjo connection... G60/VR ones are Lucas-Girling...
-
fazgti, what sender are you using then? My TDi has mk4 clocks but G60 pump and sender so they read backwards... (swapping wires round doesn't fix as it's based on resistance - I am going to try a mk4 sender i bought off eBay)
-
This thread may be of interest and includes a pic of the lift pump... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7331 FP realy is located bottom right of the fuse/relay box
