They look like the 288's but that hose design was fitted to early G60's - I don't think they are a Banjo fitting mate, you just need to bin the bit of copper and fit standard late Corrado / Mk3 Golh Hoses...

2 Corrados G60 “change to the sport combination” For the demonstration of its efficiency by a company the self-project “sport combination larva was accomplished in Germany”. Along the project phases of the process chain and optimized the team developed two prototypes and the associated manufacturing tools on basis of the Volkswagen-Corrado. The successful driving fitness tests, the TÜV acceptance and positive resonance with the presentation on the IAA was the wages. Documentations to the wind tunnel test, cut briefcases, parts lists, carcass plans and technical designs are still present. Blocked parts of the VOLKSWAGEN type are 32 B, VOLKSWAGEN type Polo and also AUDI 80, as well as a special H&R chassis. Certified these vehicles were logged out 1990 and 1996 with approximately 8000 and the 2. with approximately 13500 driven kilometers. The 2 Corrados with the designation, developed from it, „MAGNUM “are to be sold now. I can dispatch further details (photo etc.) with interest gladly. During interest to buy and from this resulting date agreement for an inspection you take up please contact by email or by telephone (during the day under 05401-490-309) with me. Location of the Corrados is sews Osnabrück. Price conception for each vehicle is with 29.000, - € VHB.

What Engine to replace the VR6 ???????
Supercharged replied to swindon-corrado's topic in Engine Bay
**AHEM** -
The Gasket is less than £20 plus vat but they may have included new bolts in the quote... The VR sump is alot cheaper than the 4cyl ones, hence I got a Shrick!

So is this a case where the pattern part is better than OE?

Spark Plug Removal - What size socket for a VR?

It's actually a 10mm on the 6 cyl... -
You need VAG Tool T10029
-
I edited my post Mike, sorry... The black ring unscrews but it will need a bit of force to budge - I used a screwdriver and hammer at an angle against the ridged bits... (There is a proper VAG tool if you are near to a dealer and they will lend it out)

Golf mk3 front 280mm calipers on a G60 disk?
Supercharged replied to davidwort's topic in Drivetrain
David, the 288 Calipers are bigger and pads are much bigger... As for Banjo hoses get a Goodridge kit from GSF for a late mk3 VR6 (£45 less CCGB discount plus Vat) Only problem is you can't get 288mm discs in 4 stud fitment -
Yep - some are reverse threaded, completly random and no reason for it that I can think of!
-
What is it actually doing - nothing at all?? Check battery voltage first then unplug red/black wire going to starter solenoid and check for 12V when key is turned... Ignition switch will be just a standard Corrado one (Polo 6N part) Have you got an alarm / imobiliser?
-
It's not that difficult and is about 1-2 hours work plus £150 so if the suburu ones fit and they also upgrade then that sounds like a better way to go... Gazza - do they just replace the small pump itself that is sat in the unit as the whole surround is really just for anti-vibration / noise dampening... Also - I found loads of small metal shards in the bottom of the tank and also in the filter of the old pump - I assume these are from the filler neck being scratched?? I tried to pick them up with a magnetic pickup tool but they were not magnetic enough...

Next problem is VW only sell a VDO unit (original is Pierberg) and you need to buy a new sender unit too (£45) even on the later models... I remember Kev fitting a pump to his from GSF (VR6 = same 4 Bar pump) and it was just a straight swap so went to GSF but they don't even list a G60 or VR6 pump any more... Then went to Eurocarparts and they had a Bosch one instock (£102 inc vat which was £8 cheaper than the VW one) and the bloke said I shouldn't need the sender... When I took the old one out it was clear that the pump was completly different and did need the sender, ordered it next day, got it and it fitted but was not just a straight swap... New pump comes with plastic pipes and new OE clips to the bottom of the top plate that you see from within the boot, connected these and did up the clips with a very blunt pair of wire cutters... Pump plugs in with spade connectors and sender unit clips on pump ok but the wires for this need to be cut off the old pump and soldered to the new sender where there are some male spades (I only had one of the correct size and it wasn't very secure so did it properly!) Now time to fit back into car, a bit of a fiddle but sender goes on RHS of pump as you face the front of car. Put gasket into hole and then push the top bit in, connect pipes with new Jubilee's and plug in then screw cap back on (hand tight) Put relay back and prime by turning the key to ignition 2 without starting engine a few times...

Yep, Run tank low if pos Unplug FP relay (bottom right) Take out boot carpet Unscrew the three cover plate screws Unswer top cap, this will be tight and may require a hammer and screwdriver to get it to budge! Remove and unplug connector, undo fuel pipe clips Pull top bit out and place on some newspaper etc Should now see pump unit in tank and this twists to remove like a bayonet fitting Use a good quality rubber glove (the mechanics type disolve!) and remove the lot.

What engine is it?? Check the wiring to the oil temp sender...
