Hello - If you buy a second hand later light you can take the front of it off and swap it over...
-
stingman123, take the centre off the steering wheel first and check the switch wires...

I had no end of problems with various pattern clutches fitted to my G60 a few years ago, the VAG ones are a mixture of LuK and SACHS parts of much higher quality of the stuff they sell as pattern, for the sake of £25 comapared with 4 hours labour it's really not worth it...
-
LOL - and is there enough 'URGENTS' on the title of this thread or would you like to add some more??
-
f'ing missed the barcelona goal typing that!
-
I'd say Ice and SECURE  Whats yer battery voltage like dude?
-
Nothing major Al - just a cover for the flywheel I think....
-
Tom - are all the bolts accessible with a standard socket or did you need a thin or flexible extension for the gearbox side ones??
-
Bang up to date matey - the bolts I got are 16mm by the way so will do...
-
Yep -stops the oil moving about so much under cornering... VR6 sump is only £45 retail which is cheaper than the G60 one!
-
Engaged - not sure who do VR sumps but i'd stick with standard with how low your running... Neil is away at the moment tho so can't get any discounts so maybe try GSF for the sump and gasket (only buy the gasket if it is metal reinforced tho - not a rubber/cork compound!) You need a sump (comes with plug and washer), Sump gasket, Oil, filter, and bolts... I've got some stainless bolts if you need them and 5ltr's of Synta It's a horrible job but fairly easy to do - you may need a thin or flexible socket extension to get to the bolts at the gearbox end tho (I did on the G60) I did a write up for the G60 one in the knowledge base which includes checking the oil pump...
-
Guys he's got a VR!!! - Alan, sorry i missed your call (was driving) - i'm trying to call you now
-
Hello - what oil are you using??
-
You cheeky fecker  Anyways, for all you Corrado nerds out there... The original was made by HEPP with part number 535 860 281 printed on the plastic box It also has a sticker on in with VAG Genuine Accessories 000 093 108 VW still sell the Kit tho that is the correct size - same one you fit in the boot of Golfs with the straps...
-
Original ones had a 535 part number on them...
-
Looking good - feel free to use my events list off here...
-
JMC, Nice one!!
-
Got to hand it to them if the MD is going to call you back - imagine if you went to Kwik Fit with a blowing backbox you bought from them, they'd just send out some monkey to bash it with a hammer....
-
Only use VW for critical parts - it's not worth the risk

There are 2 water pumps on the VR6, one belt driven and one electric... The elctric one is easy enough to get to and swap over but the main one is a bit more involved... If it is the main water pump I suggest you join the CCGB as there is a really good writeup by Chris Gaskell with photo's on how to change it in the latest Sprinter magazine.

I've got a spare 'good' BTS Kev, I think you need it to start the engine from cold but unplugging it assumes a fixed value of 90c.
-
Just noticed Halfords are selling the Gunsons VAG fault code readers at half price (£9.99) - obviously no where near as good as vagcom but may be of use to someone... don't list Corrado on the box but do list VR6 so should work...
-
Yeah, the parts guys at my local dealers used to build them for free but not sure if they'd do that anymore seeing as they no longer cut keys either... You can do it yourself and it's really easy if you have the old handle / barrel as you just swap the tumbler...
