  1. Just cancel the order and go somewhere else...
  2. X-Spurt Tyres?? The GSD3's are ok I think, They are just not available in 205's (for the VR6) Goodyear have had a hell of a lot of problems latly tho, according to several sources they have a warehouse full of defective F1's...
  3. I get around 380 miles to a tank on usual weekly cummute to work (15 miles each way warming her up first and then going as fast as i can depending on traffic on a mix of roads) I have the late 15 gallon tank and I always fill up just before it goes into the red, usually costs about £50 (Using 97/98 RON always now as timing is set to 7degrees BTDC) I find Optimax (or Ultimate etc) gives me slightly more MPG and makes the car run smoother so accounts for the extra cost, The best I've had is 450 miles just into the red but addmittedly I was driving like Kevhaywire's mum...
  4. Yeah, just top it up and then turn the engine on and let it idle for a bit, thats when the cooling system will be under the most strain as there is no air going through the rad, then have a look for white deposits around pipes, seals etc.. mine is still leaking from that plastic sender housing but not very much at all, I've only topped it up once and I will change it later this month.. Yours probably coming is the water pump seals if its never been changed, mine was starting to go at 90k, you'll need to get underneath the car to have a look, if it is that then you have the ideal oppotunitty to get it changed while the charger is being done! - Just don't go silly and buy any Samco Hoses

    HELP

Just take it for a good run, that should sort it out, the redex is just releasing years of carbon build up inside the engine...
  6. Saw a couple while working in Lowestoft today, Aqua Blue G60 (I think) in the town centre and an Ice Grey VR6 for sale on the outskirts near the A12
  7. Cheers guys, It was a nice easy one for once, found the small black hose from the TB had come off its 90 degree pipe elbow, cable tie'd it and MPG back where it should be 8)
  8. Yep, Found what was causing my problem last nite, small pipe from TB to ECU had come off its 90degree elbow at the TB, cable tied it back on and back up to accurate MPG readings 8) I reckon you might have a leak then as I have worked mine out before and its fairly accurate, check that pipe from the TB, the small flexible pipe that makes the 90degree bend may be leaking or the clips may not be tight enough...
  9. Speak to C&R enterprises in Nottingham, they will sell you the calipers and the mk4 to mk2 conversion hoses
  10. Guys, since filling up with fuel this afternoon i've been getting a very low reading after reseting the MFA, car feels fine and no real increase in consumption or smell of fuel etc.. I take it i've just got a vac pipe come off somewhere??? Bit late to look at now but if someone can give me a few pointers I'll have a look once I get to work tomorrow... I know there is a pipe that runs to the clocks, can that be got at without taking them out??
  11. I think bigboystoys do them...
  12. They might do - i think Graham at Stealth used the TT ones on his G60 but the Lupo ones work fine and are cheap, I'd just stick with a pair of those...
  13. As far as I know the Lupo ones are the only ones small enough, I've looked at new Polo's and Golfs and there too long...
  14. Yeah - I've used Mcs-Direct for years, good customer service... 8)
  15. Yep...just match the midle 3 part numbers
  16. I'd just say Ford dealer mate - My mate owns a garage and mainly works on Fords and he says its cheaper to go to them than anywhere else considering they keep good stocks and deliver to him for free etc...
  17. I think the diagnostic mode gives current speed???
  18. Yes mate - very tempted now, even tho i'm happy with the current power! - I would highly recomend a trip down there, you won't get a better service anywhere else and even if there a couple of hours away its an easy journey and gives you chance to run the charger in on the way back! Yes, I was supprised when they said I didn't, I think its only just come into effect on the 5.5 version - you need to speak to Darren for more info...
  19. Its a posibility as there are loads of Mk3, especially 5 dr P and R reg Golfs in Mis-Teeq blue about, my mum has one But, it should have not been allowed on a Corrado but we all know what VW are like!
  20. Not me i'm afraid... I see loads of Aqua Blue G60's and VR's in and around ipswich tho.... I did pass a Red L plate tonite in Woodbridge and the dude driving gave me a wave... Also met up with the MadJackal at the Black Tiles and its his car that carpoid, saw... M** PAN - looks a nice one, not sure what the colour is...
  21. Went out again tonite with a mate so more weight up front, back was sliding a bit but its hard to tell as the roads were wet... i'll adjust it tomorrow and see, or maytbe I just need the axel bushes changing
  22. Kongo, No red tops and standard FPR.. the 5.5 map does not need it but may go for the RTs in the future... Toothed belt next me thinks... 8)
  23. If its just the first speed then i'd suspect contacts on the switch but shouldn't the aircon work on all speeds???
  24. You can check boost without a gauge by putting the MFA in diagnostic mode, I'd do that then give Darren a call and he'll advise on how to check for leaks or other things to check if boost is good.
