were to get spigot rings for alloy wheels
Supercharged replied to brian g60 corrado's topic in Engine Bay
Its not just keeping them centered, the inportance of them is to keep the force of the car on the road actually on the hubs, without the rings all the force is going straight thru the wheel bolts! -
But again, no pictures and no feedback!?!

Have a look on the parkers website for a guide price, http://www.parkers.co.uk

ABS should have been standard on the G60 but wasn't because of a problem with it or supplying it? - I think most do have it but I have seen a few that don't - mines one of the last J plates BTW

Tappets do get noisey but what sort of noise is it?? Are are you sure its not just a broken heatsheild somewhere, most likely the one on cat, and reasonating up the manifold making it sound like the noise is in the engine.... have a look under the car whilst someone revs the engine.

The problem you are having is almost certainly a hydrolic problem, as your clutch is not returning fully, it may also be biting lower and causing the gearchanges to be more difficult, most probably a leaky slave or master cylinder, the slave will leak internally at first, keep an eye on the fluid level and look for fluid ontop of the gearbox - get it sorted asap, it WILL get worse!

I think its just underneath that plastic engine cover...?

BLUE PRINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Supercharged replied to chris CORRADO's topic in General Car Chat
No offence Chris but I don't think your model looks anything like a Corrado... :) -
Yeah, that sounds fine, as long as its sealed it won't dry out.
-
Only if you don't have a Lamda Probe fitted already, unless your gauge requires a completly seperate probe maybe because of current draw?
-
Depends which engine, I think the turbo's were well over 200 bhp as standard?
-
we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??
Supercharged replied to vr6storm's topic in General Car Chat
And I think he first started driving it when he was 15! - makes you sick doesn't it, I had to wait until I was 17 before I drove my first Corrado G60 8) -
Yeah, with regards to the passat ones, make sure the midle part number matches the handle, should be 839 for the passat rears.
-
As far as I know anything should come with at least a 1 year warranty but you may have to have proof of purchase, genuine handles are available from GPC at £45+vat.

hehehee - its not just you, thats obviously Fiats cheap way of designing cars, they just go along to the german crash tests - Wonder how the Coupe came about?

Proper Crimbo!

Check the belts / tensioners / pulleys and maybe the wheel bearings too.
-
I don't think so, maybe they mean if there is a small amount of resistance when you spin them by hand is ok as the momentum of the car will easily overcome that and is not a sign that they are too tight.

I have got release bearing noise on mine that I hear when the car is warm and the clutch pedal is up, I am going to get the bearing, actuator fork and sleeve replaced next year. But as Kev says if the noise is just a 'creak' when the pedal is pressed/released then a bit of grease on the return spring may help? Another good tip is to change/bleed the fluid as I don't think most places do this as part as a brake fluid change on a service.

Yeah, you have to be careful what polish you use and if you 'cut' the paint you have to the apply wax ontop. My Tornado Red Mk2 used to come up very well, also be careful to not polish the rubber seals etc
-
Ah, then its probably not the car at all.... As you aproach the speed where the noise occurs, check your mirrors and blind-spot, if it is what i think it is then you will see a group of men skipping along beside the car (dressed as knights) with coconut halfs in each hand which they clap together - thats your noise :)
-
I would check the movement on the rear exhaust box if its coming from around that area, especially if the car has been lowered?
-
Do they not do Saxo's in Norway? :)
-
Yeah, there's no heel protector, might stick one on. Bo Selecta!

I never knew the Corrado was so versatile
