  1. That's what the CCGB's forum is for. I think the annoucements are enough on the CF, thanks.
  2. OBD2 cars (i.e. not the Corrado) can run ok without the MAF - and can be remapped to run without it completely thanks to Vince. OBD1s are a simpler beast though, and can't really manage too well without it. Hence why some people convert to OBD2 - better fuelling, and can remove the MAF altogether - handy if going the forced induction route.
  3. I got logged out too. ANDI !!!! Working perfectly for me? This page was generated in 0.05 seconds according to the banner right at the bottom of the page. As for being logged out - occasionally that happens when you have too many sessions going at one time (i.e. on more than one page of the site at once, in different windows) and eventually it purges the cache, clearing it all. There's a maximum of about 1000 sessions until it maxes out then clears the cache to stop the site crashing. It's that or we get a bug we used to be plagued with about the session cache is full and no-one can log in or post or anything then until I manually clear it.
  4. To be fair, regular posters recommend that on here anyway, and have for years, but thanks for the input! :)
  5. Henny, how would that cause the fuel pump relay to fire up?
  6. Andi

    Lippys new car

They're either FWD or 4WD. And he is poor..
  7. The wiring to the fuel pump relay is more likely the cause, it gets a dodgy earth in the wiring behind it. Try changing the relay, but I think it'll be the wiring upto the board that the relay plugs into. Perhaps an earth it shorting from the brakes somewhere to the fuel pump relay? The fuel pump relay will only trigger when it receives an earth signal from the ECU. If it gets that signal from somewhere else, it would trigger it also. Not sure how this would make your brake indicator light come on though. Maybe more drain on the electrical system? Dunno..
  8. It'll soon become a standard acronym in Auto Trader: FCFMSH (Full Corrado Forum Member Service History) :) Welcome aboard. And aaaah, Southend croooze. Back in my yoof... Back in the day..
  9. The fuel pump relay requires a signal from the ECU (basically, an earth) in order to trigger. Check the earth on the relay. That is implemented as a crash-cut-off. The ECU drops its earth which would deactivate the fuel pump.
  10. I got a replacement complete wiper mech (inc. motor) for £50 delivered from a breakers when my linkage broke. The stroke was so much smoother, and stronger at speeds -- so they do just wear out!
  11. 215s will rub when you bottom out the suspension (so big dip in the road at speed, for example) and won't really offer much protection on the rim - they'll still get scuffed! Ran 215s on my C for about a year. Did wear a bit away in my drivers side rear wheel arch though... Rest were fine!
  12. Banned. Creating duplicate accounts to get round your current ban, deluk, will just get you banned again and again and again. Don't come back. Thread locked.
  13. Have the Parrot Evolution CK3000 in mine. It comes with the cabling to route the calls through your stereo, muting it at the same time -- all inclusive in the box (as opposed to 'extras' with the above car kits). http://l8shop.net/Products/Parrot_CK300 ... r_Kit.aspx Just get a discrete red and green button to control it all. Fits nicely on the left side of the steering column cowl... Or, with a LCD screen to see who's calling: http://l8shop.net/Products/Parrot_Bluet ... K3100.aspx
  14. Discussed many times before - use the search. Locking.
  15. Matty Newquay, stick to one thread, please. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 886#635886 Locked.
  16. I quite like.... different! Agree with the Audi A3 comments though: Be interesting to see what you have in store next ;)
  17. Sorry to be pedantic, but that's an Avatar. ;) Sig's go below your post... sig | | V
  18. There is no "side-light" bulb for the InPro angel eyes. The rings are it. H8RRA - have you fitted adjusters from your old lights? Without them, you may have a prob.. ;) They only come with one set of adjusters - you need to fit the other from your old lights, or buy replacements, or fit electric replacements. The ones that come with the lights do left-to-right. The ones you fit adjust up-and-down. And outer bulbs light on dipped beam, then they go out and inner bulbs light on high-beam. Just the way they're wired up to work... I'm pretty sure it's to do with heat - with both on it would get quite toasty in there.
  19. Been mentionned many times before - and even in the Wiki I believe... ;)
  20. Maybe, connect it up to the ignition live and see... ;)
  21. Ok, worked it out now. S-Kont connects to the ignition switch so the stereo stays on until you actually remove the key. On Mk4's this is different to the normal accessory position.
  22. K-Bus: to ECU on newer cars GALA: speed sensitve wire for auto-adjustment of volume S-Kont: don't know, but may be for steering wheel controls? The other plugs are for CD-Changer and RCA-out adapter (yes, you can get front/rear RCA outs on it too!) I have a cable for that if you need it...
  23. Which would lead me to think you're either not inputting it correctly (I take it it appears correctly on the LCD screen?) or you have the wrong code.. Also, the Gamma is wired up the VW way with ignition and permnament live, - which may have been swapped to the 'standard' way if you've had a 3rd party stereo in there in the past. The stereo should turn off when you turn off the ignition, and then you should be able to turn it on manually again with the ignition completely off. If it's not doing that - you've got the lives round the wrong way.
  24. Original available here in AVI format: http://fastpurple.co.uk/corrado/vids/
  25. Have those on my Passat and they work well. But the problem with the Corrado is the arms, not the blades - so those won't work well on a C at all.
