  1. Great Turnout, does anyone know the owner of the dragon green corrado, reg M950 GAG?? Interested to know as this was nearly my first Corrado, I test drove it back in 1999 but couldnt afford the £10,995.00 asking price and VW wouldnt budge.
  2. Hi Andy, Sorry I did but been a bit busy with the car and other stuff. Seen they are still for sale but dont think I can afford them at the moment. Will they be early cards if the car is a J plate?
  3. Planned to get the beam fitted over the weekend but spent saturday and sunday from 7:30am to 6pm stood by a swimming pool again (well worth it though). So set about fitting it tonight. It was a bit tricky balancing it on 2 trolley jacks and lifting it into place but got there without any major hick-ups. Quite productive though as I got the coilovers, stub shafts and backplates on. Really tricky to get a good picture but you get the idea So need to assemble the brake calipers, fit the discs, new front to rear brake line and bleed the brakes. Then re-fit the bumper and I'm good to go. Roll on Stanford......
  4. Love the car Darren and sits so well. I think you should move the car into the house with the Trophies personnally..
  5. Last lot of bits picked up from powder coaters so got the Petrol Tank fitted tonight. Should hopefully have the beam on this weekend. Question though, should I remove the powder coat from the surface of the beam where the stub shafts for the rear wheels bolt on? I'm concerned that if I clean it back, water will get under the powder and start to rust.
  6. glad you got it sorted. I'll keep an eye on this now as its something i'm contemplating doing next winter, It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference as I'm hear different things at the moment.
  7. Cheers Kip, I'm not a 'serious' rider, its more once every couple of months we do the red run at Dalby (which normally takes the day to complete) and the rest of the time I bike on the tarmac to work and back (about 8 miles each way).
  8. I like the look of the Aspect but not sure if it is worth paying the extra over the felt, they have different equipment. I thought about 29ers before as I also use the bike for commuting to work, have you heard any reviews for them for offroad? Bit of a bummer as my wife really liked the colours of her bike and the replacement version isn't as nice.
  9. Had my Felt Q620 stolen from my garage on Saturday night along with the Wifes Scott road bike. looks like the insurance company will offer new for old in the way of a voucher to the equivalent value of the Q620 2013 model. Looking on bike websites I think the latest model will be the Felt six 60. So its this or pay a little extra and get the Scott aspect 630. Would welcome any advise on whether the Scott is worth the extra or whether I'd be paying for the name. Cheers!!
  10. Replied in. Wanted add mate.
  11. Hi Rob, No probs, dropped the hanger in today for re-plating and will pick it up tomorrow so good as new! How do you want to pay please? Chris
  12. Well done Darren on your well deserved win, your car looks really well and the recaros super clean. i had a great weekend (apart from 1 small thing!) and enjoyed meeting up with everyone for beers and curry. Thanks to Kip and Judith for letting us stay and providing breakfast. Must say the corrado club are such a friendly bunch and this really makes the show for me. (sorry Chris, just realised that I've caught you doing some random 'mincing walk' there)
  13. Sounds like a good plan. I've fitted a supersprint exhaust as I think they are one of the more OEM style stainless exhausts, not cheap mind! Ive had mine about a year and a half and its always in the garage where I left it ;-D Mine is on coilovers and 17's so way different in feel to a standard VR i would think.
  14. Looks in great condition, is it blackberry? whats the mileage and is it standard, whats the future plans?
  15. Hi, I too am from Hull! I do some of the northern meets, Elsecar, VW festival, but generally frequent the East Yorkshire thoroughbred club meets. They have a great one in Beverley in June time. Gets some pics of your car up.
  16. Great work James, looks brill under there. Have you got your heat shield clips on correctly? Daft things to spot but its a place I'm used to being at the moment!!
  17. Well it's not a daily anymore and definitely won't be used on salty winter roads. I do wonder how I'll keep it like It is.
  18. Cheers for the kind words Its done about 65k miles and really well looked after by the previous owner, I was very lucky it came up for sale when I started looking.
  19. As above, on the rear ones you cannot remove the rear rubbers as the pin is welded in place. I don't think you can buy from main dealers. I think they are about £25 each from VW heritage!! I had my 2 mounts split at work, shot blasted new genuine rubbers fitted, re-welded and fresh zinc plated. I then found I only needed 1 as my supersprint comes with a different rear bracket. Long winded but for sale if you are interested? I need to get the platers to re-dip it as it is going a bit funny at one side. Would be £15 posted though as the genuine rubber was £5. Can email a picture if you want.
  20. Brake calipers assembled and ready: Assembled the rear beam parts in front of the telly tonight, bit crappy pictures but you get the idea.
  21. Good work, didnt know the chains involved so much strip down. Hope you get it sorted soon.
  22. Sorry to Hijack the thread but I have my rear sensors off the car and with a multi-meter set on the 2k ohms setting I get 1.1 for both sensors, do these seem OK? should the reading chamge much if I move the sensor ring closer to the sensor?
  23. Quick question! I am going to rebuild my calipers now I have them all painted. The pistons dont need to be greased when I re-install them do they????? Is it just the 2 carrier spindles that are greased? Thanks
  24. Braving the extremes of winter today I ventured out and got the Exhaust mounted, seems to fit pretty well and tail pipe fits bang in the middle of the bumper cutout.
