  1. Are these hard to get hold of? If so, doesnt seem a bad price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-GOLF-VENTO-PASSAT-VR6-SPARK-PLUG-REMOVAL-TOOL-LEAD-GENUINE-021012213-/360513115715?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53f0419643
  2. Cheers for the tip, i'll make sure I take them off. Let me know how you get on with the Alternator strip down too.
  3. Inlet manifold is a simple job really, I did mine last year and gaskets wasn't expensive. I'm going to get the crossmember / rad support done and the fan cover like you. Looking at mine they look almost new but a couple of rust patches going to grind them smooth then get them blasted and nylon coated. I've just got a nearly new tensioner (but not sure if its better then mine), and I'm going to do my alternator as its a bit mucky. Not sure how easy it is to strip an alternator though, dont know where to start really.
  4. Brilliant work, have you done any cleaning on the inlet manifold etc? Exactly what i'm doing at the moment, my radiator is coming off tomorrow. Keep the pictures coming, theyre great for reference..
  5. What about Antera 181's? Used to have them on my Clio 16v.
  6. Thanks, refitted to the bumper now. Dropped the beam and a few bits at the powder coaters today, getting done in the nylon powder with a zinc rich primer coat first. Will be ready Thursday so cant wait now. The beam looked great after smoothing then shot blasting again.
  7. Ha Ha, very useful information that...
  8. I was going to take it off and powder coat it with all the other bits thats all. Cheers for the help but I'll probably leave it on.
  9. can this be removed or is it full of fluid behind it?
  10. There is a cover on the bottom of the vr6 engine with the VW logo on it, you can see it with the passenger wheel off. What's behind it and is it full of oil behind there? Cheers
  11. Excellent thanks. Is it in nearly new condition? It was a bit of an impulse purchase really at last minute...
  12. Hi Dave, Dont suppose you have the plastic bits that fasten to the sides of the radiator do you? Its the drivers side one I need. Chris

  16. Sorry but didnt know how best to describe it!! im after the plastic piece that fastens to the radiator on the drivers side. Mine has been cut to allow for an induction kit (now gone). Must be in perfect condition if possible. Chris
  17. Well, with the help of this little gem, I had no problems with the bolts at all..... So shortly after I am left with this: Didnt realise I'd have to mess with the power steering, oh dear I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. One thing I did notice, there is an electrical plug that seemed to connect to the bumper on the drivers side under the fog light and indicator - does anyone know what i'm talking about and what it is for please? Slam panel next I think then dump the water and remove the radiator then onto the cross members........
  18. Cheers guys! Going in the garage shortly to have a go, fingers crossed. I'm sure I'll be in touch Kip, specially when it comes to filling the coolant, not looking forward to air locks and stuff. Meant to ask, can I take the font cross member parts off ok to get powder coated without disturbing the engine etc?
  19. Rear beam, brackets and brake sheilds have gone back for blasting before powder coating so thought I would crack on with the front end, quick half hour tonight and I'm left with this: Not looking forward to undoing the 4 bolts that hold the front bumper in place as I've read they can be very tight! If anyone has any advise on this then its very welcome... I'll keep the updates coming as quick as I can but working away a bit so havent been getting loads of time.
  20. If these fit in standard locations then depending on price I may be up for a set. Pulling out my sub, amps and components and want to go back standard.
  21. No Probs, I certainly will. It will be in the classified section shortly after.....
  22. Here's mine... Coming out shortly along with the 2 Alpine V12 amps hidden behind the enclosure.
