  2. I'm also after this doing on my VR, shame your so far away.
  3. Cheers Gareth, will need to see what happens with work at the moment - not brill at the moment but hopefully should be OK. What do they give you in terms of performance, power, torque etc? do they improve the acceleration??
  4. Hi Matt, drop me a txt, cant be this weekend as its swimming 8am till 5pm (earliest) Saturday and Sunday!! Maybe free next Saturday though.

  10. Looking good Dave, pass you most mornings on my way to work and it stands out a mile!! Keep meaning to have my phone on the ready to take a picture.
  11. Took me a while to work those pics out!! looks fantastic what your doing Paul. My daughter actually asked me today "who's is the best corrado in England"!!
  12. Going to have a go on Sunday, tried this afternoon but the manifold kept burning my hand!!
  13. Wow!! those plated bolts are fantastic (i'm easily pleased) and really stand out against the black. so have you sand blasted the plastic cover that goes round the fuel filter? what is the blue pipe and are you putting it back? Have you got any new clips for the metal brake pipes on the beam? Cant wait to get mine done, had the beam shot blasted and collected parts but not gone any further yet.
  14. Congratulations, you can look forward to another year of fine motoring!! Mines booked in next Friday at 12:30pm followed by oil change and coolant flush with new expansion tank, whoop whoop!!! Does anyone know if I will have problems with my red pinstriped rear lights????
  15. Cheers Andrew, guess what i'm doing on Sunday!!
  16. My cooling fan belt has come off, the one that runs the secondary cooling fan. Has anyone managed to change one without taking the radiator off? Any tips please!!
  17. My ABS fault was cleared by removing the 2 electrical plugs from the pump (took a while cos the front one was stuck on) soaking them in WD40 and cleaning them until the plug would fit easily. Long shot but worked for me and someone else on here tried it after MOT failure and did the trick for them too.
  18. The Corrado is booked in next friday at my local VW main dealer for MOT and oil change service. It's £35 for MOT or £119 for MOT and oil change service, I checked what oil they use and it's magnatec which the technician said would be fine for the VR. I can supply my own oil and filter and price drops to £70. Question is, shall I let the dealers use the magnatec or should I get some quantum synta 10w 40 and take that for them to use?????
  19. Was meant to ask how the wheel was. By Stanford I reckon you could put your standard wheels on and have a good chance in the concours!!!!!
  20. Ha Ha, I see the likeness... its my father-in laws Bond Bug! He has a thing for 3 wheelers and also has an Isetta Bubble car. ---------- Post added at 11:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:28 PM ---------- Yep, only 'V' power now, only problem is the nearest shell garage is other end of Hull. Is BP ultima any good? The humber bridge meet is organised by the 'East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club' There is a massive array of cars from Austin 7's, Ferraris, E-types, classic fords. Tonight there was a TVR trident! the only one in the UK... No probs with the polishing, let me know when your free and I'll check what I'm up to. I have Friday afternoons off at the moment.
  21. Quick picture from a local classic car meet tonight, massive turnout (nearly 400 cars!) for a Wednesday evening. The corrado got so much attention, I was asked by some bloke if he could have a sit in it and as I was about to leave, a couple of guys came over and said for them it was 'car of the night' said he'd never seen a car as clean!!! Really chuffed by the comments i got. There is another one coming up soon on a Friday in July at the humber bridge if anyone local fancy's going. Another question, I've had a private registration for years thats been on my daily, last december I put it on retention cos we changed the car. I am now debating whether or not to put it on the Corrado, The Corrado is on its original number plate and never had a transfer at all. Plus the 'N' plate dates the car which I quite like. What to do?????
  22. I've done 4000 in mine and doesnt appear to have used any!!! it has only done 64000 though.
  23. I was going to start an oil thread tonight, I have a 4.5l tub of quantum synta in the garage (10 40), unopened. It says it was filled in 2004, will this be any good still? Also, is this different to the silver mentioned as it doesn't say it anywhere.
  24. If I ever get the chance to make it to a show I certainly will! I want to have a good nosey over it. If not I may have to try and pop over to see you. I've got mine to do next.
