andyout on club gti does the immo removal cheap For rev counter, I ftted the later digital cluster, rev counter works of the ECU, just needs the vss and a couple of other mods for indicators and temp gauge, There a write up on vortex

You have to love some of these so-called alarm installers I found 2 alarms and an immobiliser in mine when I removed that panel, none of which worked -

Looks a good car, 2 questions, where are the indicators and whats different about the bonnet? The odvious alternative to fitting a VR would be the 1.8t, easily get 240bhp with a k03s turbo or 270 from a k04 turbo Just wont have the same noise.

Has anyone run their rado without the side support bar/bracket that goes from the 2 bolts on the end of the box to the rear mount. Just thinking it would tidy it up a bit to leave it off but not really sure if it would cause any damage This will be on my 1.8t at about 220/230bhp and gonna be running a solid front mount.

Remove the plug leads one at a time, if the engine stallsor runs even rougher then replace it and remove the next. One of the leads wont make a difference when removed, that is your start point as this is the cylinder with problems, then check if there is a spark, if there is a spark then check for fuel, if you have fuel then check the compression, one of these will be missing.

They look like fiat coupe brembo's, be interesting to see how you fit them, I looked at some of those but couldn't get them to fit the hub

Its not really a case of what offset, ET would be illigal, the offset is taken from the center of the wheel so a 9" rim with an ET30 would stick out 12.5mm further than an 8" ET30 but stick out the same as an 8" ET18.

Hi, How many turns does the speedo drive do for 1 revolution of the diff/driveshaft. I've just bought an 02s that doesn't have the speedo drive and I'm thinking of converting to speedo from the abs

I used to be a member of CCGB many years ago and had a good time at club stands and even went on a visit to the Lotus factory with them, but hadn't rejoined as I dont think my current rado isnt up to good enough standards for showing at club stands etc. Have now decided to to join again anyway and in conversation with cazza to renew my old member number if one of us can find what it was.
