Its getting there...
-
thanks enzo sorry to steel you thread rams :)

I have a standard ARB at the moment. What I mean by the eye is the front mount that goes on the wishbone, when you look from the side the threaded part is either centered to the bush or slightly to one side of the bush. I just thought, isn't yours is a VR so different to mine anyway, doh
-
I had a knock on the front suspension and found the ARB had moved causing the knock. I moved it back and all was fine. I did notice that I have 1 offset ARB front eye and 1 straight ARB front eye, I'm not sure if that is right or if I should have 2 offset eyes. I assume with the offset inboard on both sides, the ARB would remain centred.

received mine today big thanks

Why don't you stick with the dare stickers or go with VW badges,
-
Lovely clean car that. The height in the first pics wasn't quite to my taste, (I think you can go to low sometimes and it doesn't suit the Corrado with 15's) but it looks a good now you've raised the rear.

That's meeee.
-
We all hate them but it will be interesting to see how its implemented and what the various levels of time spent in the center lane are considered to be hogging.

Those lights look great

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah..... please :) Is a b5 Passat the handbrake the same as a mk4 as I have one in the garage
-
That would be extortionate, lucky he got a new tyre with it :)
-
Sounds about right, prices shot up when people started getting tyres from place like black circles and just wanted tyres fitting.
-
Good looking car for you start with

Sorry Dan, did see this. I got the VSS and cut the cable from the car I took the VSS from, I wired it in when I did the rest of the engine harness, pins 1 and 3 are pwr & GND and pin 2 goes to the speedo daveb142, you could convert to 288s from a late mk3 GTI or VR (are your wheels 4 or 5 stud?) My engine is an AJQ from a TT, it had a k03 and DBW throttle, I swapped the throttle to cable and ran it of an AGU ECU and harness. I've now had it re-mapped and fitted a k03s
-
I used an AGU harness and ECU with cable throttle, was quite easy to wire
-
looking good, you gonna wire the AUQ yourself?
-
Trace the wires till you find where it goes or Mark the terminals, remove it and what doesn't work

Corrado 1.8t 20v Aum 6 speed diesel gearbox conversion question..
GrahamU replied to 16vTdub's topic in Drivetrain
I looked into this and was led to believe that the flywheel for the 6 speed 02M is smaller which is why you need a different fly. The driveshaft is the reason it gets expensive as you have to have one shortened or by one specifically made for it You could look for an 02s which is the 6 speed version of the 02a/02j box, this will fit straight in with only a small adaptor bracket to fit the rear mount, but you will need to get the bell house casing swapped for one from an 02a to have the speedo drive. One from a diesel touran should be fine for a 1.8t -

That's good to know, I was thinking of using 80/100 bulbs as an easy fix
