Not good but on the flip side, you got to drive it again. Just out of interest, why dont you run a later cluster and have the rev counter, speedo and spoiler working?
-
Replied, but I had trouble sending it, kept getting that lovely looking woman ;) let me know your email for payment Ta Graham

Do you still have a bearing for sale? Could you let me know a price for 1 posted to Suffolk please

Thought I'd add this in here Seen a few mentions of the brake cylinder hitting the cam cover and mine did while it was on the road. So with the engine out again I looked at the cylinder, I have a 3 outlet 22mm, the fourth outlet is not used so has not been drilled and threaded, looking at it I assumed the it was solid in that area so I ground it back to be flush to the cylinder body. It now clears the can cover :)

Nice wheels, suits the rado perfectly (Although I may be biased :) )

Nice job. 4 years aint bad for a resto

I have the rear plate panel painted red at the mo and I think I'm going to go satin black, it will break it up a bit, I wish mine would come up like that with a polish, unfortunately a previous owner cut mine back to the undercoat in places :(

Just a couple of pics of the Gläserne Manufaktur VW (Automobilmanufaktur Dresden GmbH). You can only take pictures of the outside, they dont allow any any inside of the production area, so heres what I have: Unfortunately the next english tour was at 3 in the afternoon but I had to be back at Berlin airport at that time :( so I could only go around the visitors areas Heres a video of the plant, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E35RvFeHL50 I spent a little time working in Dagenham and its a little different. And just for the comedy value, this is the weapon of choice the hire company gave me A nissen duke, ministry of sound edition

Set to record.. Really miss my old 3dr Cossie, had to sell it to buy a house and went down to a mk1 XR2 -
I would find out what speakers are in the doors, then you can choose the best amp suited to use to run them with the crossover to the tweeters.
-
Agree with above, you'll never get good bass from a head unit, best to get an amp to run a sub in the boot. I'm not a fan of 6x9s in the shelf, a good setup will only need components in the front and a sub in the boot Rear speakers are only for passengers in the back (which I never have in my rado)

Mk1 Escort RS1600 Mk1 Capri RS3100 RS200 Sierra RS500 Lancia Montecarlo A bit Ford biased but they did build some good cars in the 70s and 80s (unlike now)

We get trade price plus some discount, but the trade price depends on what it is, service parts can be really cheap. Some parts I'vebought have been 75% less than the over the counter dealer price

Alot of cars have the red and yellow swapped, the ISO standard only says for it to be a 12v not if it has to be permanent or switched. I used to work for ford audio and we were always getting the JVC radios fitted in the pick ups returned cos they didn't keep their memory.
-
Does the radio work of the ignition? Alot of corrados dont have the wiring to have the radio connected to the ignition so are permanently live hence the reds and yellows connected together. I added a wire to the ignition barrel to allow mine to be switch on the first position of the key

I'm on a local forum that has discount at TPS, we get the discount at Norwich and Ipswich. One of the guys that works there is also on the forum but you could give them a call as a starting place see how that was setup, the guy to speak to at the Norwich branch is Matt Hunt (miff)
