Theres no point asking what people recomend, there are so many things that could have changed when they checked the pressure. Most will have checked at a garage with inaccurate readers and after driving it. Start with whats recomended for the car and see how it feels, the pressure for the car is worked out on load/weight of the car, change it if you think it needs changing or if you notice uneven wear. The pressure in the tyre will change depending on how hot the day is anyway. For instance yesterday was really hot but the day before was cold so the pressure in the tyres would be different, generally I've found tyres tend to run 10° hotter than the ambient temperature so the hotter the day the higher the pressure will be. And dont forget tyres are ALWAYS checked cold which doesn't include a short drive to the garage.

:( Head gasket gone. Sell for parts or fix ? need help please

Not sure on buying a clio, yuk Totaly agree with taking it of the road and having a go yourself, if you have no mechanical knowledge then it will be useful to learn for any future Rado ownership. Before you decide to sell or keep, whats the rest of the body like, is it rusty at all, if the main bodys good then its worth keeping, mechanicals can be replaced with parts bought of here or ebay. 1200 is not a bad price but it is 20 yrs old and nothing lasts forever, my rado has a full service history but now I've had a good look over it I've found the last owner seems to have stripped most of the interior and left 90% of the screws in a tin in the glove box when he put it back. Hang in there and have a go -

Having converted the tailgate to be electric release I decided to remove the lock altogether and replace with a flat number plate plinth. No I'm unsure if the plate looks better centered on the plinth or to put it on the bumper Opinions please, bare in mind it will have a new plate when complete.

Early Bumper & Wing, Late Slam and Late Badgeless Grille
GrahamU replied to V33DUB's topic in Parts for Sale
where abouts are you? -
The vortex guide is the one I used but instead of taking a wire out of the relay socket for the temp warning (post 24 in the thread) I joined the wire going to C/6 to the cluster T28/2

The bumper in the pic is an early so I assume the wings are early, very interested in the wings and I'll text you tomorrow Are they both straight? they look like flash red?

Sold my old G60 in 2002, J389 CUC - Black I know its still on the road -
Usually signal feeds are 5v but I will try to bring home an osciloscope next week and measure it.
-
Dont take this as gospal as I'm no expert in this but from my experience, the early clusters run of the coil and late of an ECU feed, which do you have? Isnt the MS ECU quite versitile and can have alot of bolt on extras, I would of thought someone on their forums will have a tacho output circuit.

Has anyone fitted a dash mounted window switch from a passat b3/b4 ? Looks like this I've just bought one from flebay and was curious to know how much trouble I'll have fitting it?

Having been a Ford man for many years including XR fiesta's, RS Escort's and Cossie's I saw an Audi Coupe and thought I'd like that so bought one. Thought it was a great well built car but it did not handle well at all, way to big and heavy so I looked for an alternative in the form of a 91 G60. After a little tuning it was a quick car that handled well and looked the nuts, unfortunately for the poor old G60, my wife got pregnant and a 2 door coupe wasn't the best for everything needed when we went out with the baby so i sold it and got a Bora 1.8T and a mk1 cabrio. Selling the G was one of my bad decisions as I didn't need to sell and just spent the money on the mk1 which still isnt finished, really wish I'd kept the G and not bought the mk1. I have now found another 16v which will be on the road in a couple of weeks. Like Kev said, so many sell and regret, I'm one of them...

Hi, I am in need of a drivers side 280mm caliper, let me know what you got. If your interested I have a pair of 288 calipers and carriers I can swap for the 280 caliper
-
I need a g60 vacuum/pressure sender on the back of the cluster. Let me know what you got.
-
Right then, Tacho time. I have read you can use a late cluster and it will work with the 1.8T OEM ECU so my first question is Is that right? If it is right, my second question is Is it possible to create a hybrid cluster that has the speedo cable and late tacho?

looks good and have to agree with you on the badges
-
have a look for Andyout on clubGTI, he removes the immo for cheap money, he did mine
-
that info will be on the log book, cleaner than checking the on the engine. I didn't realise there was a substantial difference in the 280 calipers, there is between the 280 and 256, the 280 being wider but there both 54mm pistons, still everydays a school day, I've just fitted 280 from a mk3 gti to mine
