  1. I'm now breaking my Corrado up so spent the weekend stripping lots off of it. I found that both front lower seatbelts mounts had been fitted wrong. The bar that allows the belt to move forward towards the seat was bolted at the front but under the rear seat it was not slid into the bodywork. I dont like to think what would have happened in an accident. Could be worth checking yours if someone has undone the belts at anytime in your cars life.
  2. I baet a clean looking Nova GTE yesterday, but last night when I started the C it was running on 3 to start with..... :( Think its soon time to retire the C and break it :( :(
  3. Have you seen the website http://www.vwfeatures.com/ lots more of Helga, and more p*ss taking of sad pimped mobils with big scoops on the bonnet
  4. If this is your reasons and you can afford to do that, then do it......

    Rear brakes

OK, so I've seen a pair of Audi A4 TDI rear calipers for sale, can anyone tell me if they'll fit ?? Thanks
  6. This may be a silly question but why would you want 280mm discs on the rear ?? other than it looks good, surely the bias valve would make them as bad as standard.
  7. Bet he wont again http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAGUAR-X-TYPE-SE- ... dZViewItem

    Rear brakes

Had a loud sqealing from the rear brakes going home last night, when I got home I found the drivers side wheel was very hot and smelly. I'm guessing the calipers are a bit seized but I cant afford to replace them yet cos I just bought new discs and pads etc to go on this weekend. I know I'll be fighting a losing battle but is there a tecnique to unseizing the calipers till I can afford or find replacements ?
  9. I used to repair in car audio for a living and regulary saw the Becker's coming back with problems. I'm not gonna say Alpine dont have problems but I would choose them over all the rest.
  10. Is it possable to fit a lower strut brace and has anyone got one fitted ??

  12. Damm, I get it now I'll get my coat...
  13. Mine was sticking and hard to push down, it was the cable needed replacing.
  14. If the Milltek is the same style tailpipe as mine you'll need a 4 motion rear valence with the exhaust cutout.

    power steering

OK, so I've now been sat there for 20 minutes turning the steering lock to lock, had to lift wheels off ground to do it. But still it seems I have no PAS. There are no strange noises from it and when turned quickly from lock to lock the fluid rises and falls in the reservoir. Had a few bubbles in reservoir. Anyone got any ideas. Is there a way to test whether it might be the pump or the rack ??
  16. I changed the power steering belt on Satarday, the old 1 was very stretched and slipping when cold causing it to judder when cold. After fitting I reversed out of the garage and put on other side of the drive and it seemed OK, no judder but felt a little harder than before to turn. This morning coming to work it would seem I've lost all power steering which isn't so bad when driving above 5-10mph but below and at standstill its a nightmare. It hasn't lost any oil and the belt is still tight. I'm gonna try to bleed it lunchtime, but has anyone any other ideas...? Thanks
  17. not sure its broken, thats what I hope to find out tomorrow.
  18. Sanded back filler reasonably well, still needs finishing on rear panel. Changed Grill for early Found problem on electric Recaro and gave it, its first wash since buying it. Before after
  19. Is it still possable to buy the switches on Recaro's ? Got 1 broke on the pas side, gonna try and fix it at work tomorrow but if I cant where can I get another ? Cheers
  20. Dont go for the angel eyes, they make the lights as bad as the corrado's
  21. Great cars, cant fault my 1.8T now I've uprated it a bit, but it was a dissapointment when I changed from a chipped G60. Good price to buy, but it is a little sadening cos I got mine new 3 and half years ago...
  22. so far replaced the power steering belt unblocked the drivers side washer welded up hole in the back, now waiting for filler to dry properly
  23. Is it possable to fit a couple of reducing valves like VW used on the Mk1 Golfs to cure this. I'm sure I was told these calipers fitted using G60 carriers, is this true?
