  1. Hats off to you.....don't think I 've seen anyone make a whole loom before. :D
  2. LOL - or maybe one of these  127_14.jpg[/attachment:7ac85]
  3. LOL - Guess the answer should have been dependant on what you're trying to squeeze into the bay!
  4. Big ball of wires = Scary
  5. I'l second that........just weld up to the front struts and be done with it. 8)
  6. Thanks, will drop you an email. FAO: I'm after Eibach front and Trimsport rear Don't want those wings folding in now! LOL
  7. No ideas! want to do something about mt lights, HID kit seems to be the way to go. Few peeps on here have done it, not seen any kind of write up though. So you getting your new lump this year or next?
  8. Just have, you have been busy. Hows the HID kit working out?
  9. Can't wait to try and take it arround MK roundabouts sideways LOL Still trying to get hold of decent quality braces, will just have to keep an eye on the forums like you said. Haven't seen you for a while, or your motor :D and changes?
  10. Have missed loads since my motor has been off the road, if the C's not ready might have to come up in the missus vectra(sorry for swearing)
  11. No probs. Good luck. Words of wisdom "The first cut with the angle grinder is the most nerve racking" :D Gets easier after that. Looking forward to seeing your build, will be good to compare notes to see what method is easier or harder. Any probs gives us a shout.
  12. This would be my worst nightmare. As for the drunk driver, she should be shot! theres NO excuse for driving in that state. Probably get sent on a course and then a few hours community service.
  13. Not looked to closely at photobucket yet, need to dump the photos in there as I really do need to back them up. Only have the photos I have displayed on pages 6 and 7 on PB yet. Feel like bit of a grandad when it comes to all this new fangle technology. LOL Spent a few hours today re-fitting the interior, loom etc
  14. Love to see this motor in the flesh....do you ever make it to the mk meet?
  15. Cheers, this is a real milestone for me. Really motivated to get it done now.
  16. Nutter Is there anything you won't attempt to build?! LOL
  17. Cheers, Loads of pics, finally got a photobucket account, so will probably dump them there as I have a couple of hundred megs worth. ps Thanks for the fuel line info. Sukh
  18. Floor painted and undersealed.....can finally start bolting the 4x4 up! once I have re-fitted the interior :( Finish on the floor is not great, then again it will be covered by carpet anyway.
  19. LOL Cheers Mount must have made a hell of a racket  , you must have been relieved it was only the bracket . Pipe bender looks like fun :)
  20. Ahhh haa roll cage.....don't you have trimsport rear brace? If you decide to sell it give us first shout  How the hell did that bracket break?
  21. Think I will hust have to watch how you guys progress before I do anything. :(
  22. Ouch.....hope you got a lot of bits for that! Look forward to seeing the updates. How does programming the MS work? is there a standard map? you load in? Have seen threads discussing idling etc and cold start are there also issues with that?
  23. Ahh haa, might need to do some reading up....... Hows yours coming along? - Anyone who deos a conversion seems to disappear, tryed to get in touch with Raj Mirch (passat 16v turbo) and there was a guy on here Dave I think with a silver valver.....all disappeared!
  24. Cheers, may take you up on that! Think more ppl with the 16v lump would turbo charge if it wasn't for the crap engine management. Looked at MS, unless you build it yourself the costs seem to be the same as the off the shelf products. Have a looked at the turbo kits from the US (Bahn Brenner etc), with the exchange rate pricing seems ideal. I see you do shift light kits etc, and have access to decent tools and materials......maybe you should consider doing a dummies MS plug and play harness for the 16v? for ref the QPE harness for the 20vt goes for £1k?
  25. Decided not to set myself target dates anymore  , as I always end up missing them! I put my name down for the clubstand this year and was gutted when I had to take it off. Had probs with parts suppliers as well, one of them is in dispute with Visa as we speak, really causes unnecessary stress. Have been reading your thread, good detail in there, will come in usefull when I attempt to sort my engine out :D True about the 16v lump, plus I have a real soft spot for the 16v. Real prob for me is going to be engine management, have no ideas about electrics and stuff  might have to pay to get that side of it sorted.
