Defo going to re-think my current insurer (Admiral), I declared most of the mods  , but don't think I would get sh*t back if the car got nicked ot written off. Guess the majority of people on here must have a non-standard car.
-
Are there insurers out here who provide a policy for modded cars that will pay if they get nicked?? Scares me to think the amount I have spent on cosmetic mods, never mind suspension, exhaust, perf filters, stero etc etc

Nice tidy workshop too. I have the same prob, finding time to work on the motor. Takes time unpack all the tools, then pack them away at the end of the night...leave even less time for working on the motor -
How much was the cost of paint etc???
-
Will have to wait for David to answer, I remeber him saying that he has done it a few times.

C'mon!! how can you compare it to a micra!! Awsome work! I can only imagine the hours of work that must have gone into that! -
Bast**ds!!! Tough on car crime...yeah right!!!! you get into more trouble for forgetting to tax or SORN your car than the scumbags who do sh*t like this!!

Now I am intrigued!

Thanks again! Will my engine need setting up to make the most of the cams? Take it this will mean a trip to somewhere like stealth?
-
Cheers David, Do I need to take the cambelt off to do this mod?
-
I am finely going to get round to changing my inlet cam. My engine is a 9a and I have the inlet cam of a KR. Do I need to swap the sprocket on the KR inlet cam with the sprocket of my 9a inlet? or can I just bang it straight in as is??? Seems a dumb question, but I sure I read you need to but cannot find any threads to back this up or not. Thanks

Should have done it ages ago, boot opens alot easier as well!
-
Thanks, it is the first mod (all be it a small one) I have done for ages. It has given me motivation to start working on the rest of my car again!

Is this not held down by one of the rocker cover bolts??? Will need to check on mine, pretty sure it goes on the corner of the rocker cover nearest to the alternator. Feck knows what it does though LOL

Just had a quick question to anyone who has fitted this breather. I picked one up from the wayside today and mine seems to have two pipes coming of it. One from the front (as per pic) and one to the rear. In line with the front, both pipes are inline and you can see through them! Don't have a camera, but will try and post up some pics Part number for the bits was 06A 103 465 D (this was for breather and gasket). VAGCAT shows this item with 1 outlet as well! Have I got the wrong item? Also with venting to air, do you get any oil smells in the car? Thanks

B******s!!!! How the feck did they bypass the alarm like that - must have been pros and not oppurtunist then?? I have got a huge steering wheel lock, don't bother putting it on as I think sod it the cars alarmed, might just start whacking that back on!!!

Very sorry to hear that mate :( Hope you get it back in one piece. S**t like this makes you nervous to leave your motor anywhere!
