  1. MMmmm doesn't look right, seems to be some marks on the inside of the spring and on the coilover as well. Does the shocker clear the wheel when fully lowered? or is the scrub on the tyres?
  2. Don't see anything here unique to the rado. Costs depends if you DIY or not. If you do your talking no more than £50

    ABS rotor

The rotor is held onto the hub with screws, unfornuately the only way you can change them is by removing the hub and destroying the bearing in the preocess. I am sure you can buy the rotors seperate, but you will have to bduget for new bearings as well
  4. Very nice mate....carbon bonnet looks the mutz nutz :)
  5. Awsome!! Looks great as barechassis!!! Whats in the boxes??? Must be like Christmas morning?? LOL Enjoy
  6. Those bendy bits need to be there!! LOL When you see how wide the Mo-Fo is you'll understand why :) a properly fitted Reiger kit looks the mutz nutz. Have some pics I took from a motor show many many years ago will have to dig em out post em.
  7. I wrote it down somewhere, think its just under a ton with VAT added. Picked one up for £50 from GSF (forgot to ask for Disc though Dohh!), its a GKN one, looks OK, as mentioned not as good Q as the original, then again I doubt there car will be around another 13 years LOL
  8. LOL Sods law! No probs Rung VW - Part is on back order - Jokers.....Just gong to grab a GSF one and use the original boot as that looks like it has been replaced using OEM rubber at some point. Should be fun trying to get the bugger back on. Never have I got so covered in grease (OOooooo eerrrr) when working on the car as I have fannying arround with the CVs LOL
  9. Does anyone know how much VW sell there CVs for? Supercharged - what part number is your inner CV? Cheers
  10. Whilst the cars apart I thought I would inspect my CVs, also needed to remove the inners to trasnfer to the syncro shafts. Long story short, the drivers side inner CV was fooked :(, the heat must have got to it and churned the grease into butter, seems like someone had repalced the boot at some time as well. Basically after removing the end clip the whole thing fell apart :( Morale of the story, once I have my new CVs on, think I will start checking the grease has not dried out etc, every few years, will be cheaper and less messy that repalcing the inner CV. Also with regards to GSF CVs: 43937K CV JOINT KIT-INNER LH CO 9/88 > 42.50 43938K CV JOINT KIT-INNER RH CO 9/88 > 45.00 Which of the above is the drivers side??? Cheers
  11. Nope syncro maxes out at 300bhp, anything else and you will be on borrowed time. For big power consider haldex
  12. Should be fine as the sandwhich plate is thermostatic as well Part numbers for hoses are: 1 x 026121053G 1 x 068121063M
  13. Glad for you its all sold mate........must be a weird feeling though..........end of an era.
  14. Awsome motor....perfect!! any more pics of the 4x4??? Like the collection of Eibach braces as well LOL
  15. Use the Rusky version: http://www.avtoshop.net/vw.php Part numbers are right, sometimes it has more details than vagcat. - make sure you run the web page through google translator first
  16. Wayside VW - Parts counter - Tavistock Street, Bletchley 01908 625000
  17. Indeed, but the exuast is a CAT back system, and doesn't the 1.8 have a longer manifold and downpipe? Yep true. I believe the diameter of the pipes is the same. As for rubber hangers you can get universal ones so that they can hang off/on a bar or a hook type hanger.
  18. Might be worth getting in touch with the previous owner? Then again is he likely to have done over 83,00 miles when he owned it?
  19. Worst case secnario......Probably no way to prove you haven't doen the mielage then? Any service history?
  20. what did the MOTs/paperwork say?
  21. Defo porka mate, enquire about running / service costs...think you will be pleasently surpirsed. Would avoid Vauxhall like the plauge. Use to run a V6 Calibra even use to be a memebr of the Calibra forum (Sorry :( ), us Calibra owners had an ols saying that it was cheaper to run a Porka than Vauxhall and that was aboloutley true. Some example of costs I had: Cambelt change: £560 Aux water pump £270 (10 day wait part on backorder) Gearbox cable (£110 !!!! For F**cks sake its a piece of wire in a plastic shroud!!) Sold it after that, before somethihng went really wrong....
  22. HID kit prices are falling...
