    Robs G60

Love this car, one of my favourite G60s on here, cats looks cool as also...
  4. Fitted some red HT leads at last, cleaned the bay some more and then took it for a spin, would have been rude not to and i loved every second of it, first time its been out in a while...
  5. ID have been happy to pay 175 quid for them nevermind bartering them down from 75.. I think you should sell me your RCs for 50 quid and then we have both landed a bargain.. :) Any interesting and cheap wheels knocking about for my golf that you know of??
  6. Mine is a 2 on that scale but eventually will be a 3.. My view on the hwole mod/standard thing is do whatever you want to your Corrados just do a good job of it..
  7. For 6.5k id expect it to be a cracker, not just low miles but great condition.. Its worth remembreing that some cars out that are well over 100k are in great condition and have had all the maintenace required and have been used properly will be in better condition than some that have just sat for years on end... Best example i can think of is Jims Valver, its got about 180k on it, i had one with 90k on it and it was a shambles in comparison... Condition and history is the priority..
  8. They look ace Karl and for 50 quid, jammy git :)
  9. We need to see more than that Judith!!!!!! :)
  10. Na mate, ive got some work that ive got to clear so cant spare the whole day.. Thinkning about running along to the West sussex Club GTI meet though as an alternative.. Whats you and the rest of the gangs plan??
  11. Cheers mate, didnt even know you were on here.. Any chance of a pic of these, i dont know what they are, they dont sound cheap though Rob, remember this a budget project.. Thats impressive, considering the car weighs next to nothing, id be interested to see what mine is putting out... Its defintely running so much better since Toad set the timing and the mixture. Other additions/changes have been the addition of the late spec rear light, replacement door rubbers and have got a hold of a screen, having a dilema though, there is rust around the top of the scree and obviously the best time to sort it would be before fitting it, asking myself if i really want to spend the money.. Planning on giving it some more TLc this weekend, gonna be brave and take all the wheels off and see what lies beneath, hope there are no unpleasent suprises...
  12. I have the same mirrored no claims on both of mine, the Rado is on a limited mileage policy with an agreed value and salvage retention etc etc.. It did bring the premium down by reducing the mileage and when its locked away for the winter will go to lay up insurance which will bring it down further... Defintely handy if your planning on running it as a summer car...
  13. Ive just recently aquired a MK2 Valver to run as a daily and so i can keep the Corrado off the road over the winter as it does take its toll on all the hard work ive put in.. As for costs, i think the Mk2 is a doddle to work on due to the space under the bonnet and parts are cheap and so readily available, plus i know some rather knowledgeable people when it comes to the KR lump (big thanks to them).. I guess it depends what you want your rado for, mine is to be driven but it just seems wrong to use of for supermarket trips etc, i want to enjoy the Corrado whereas the Golf is the perfect daily, mine is tidy but not so that i worry about its condition too much and yet they are still highly enjoyable cars to drive... Do both, Corrado and Golf = best fo both worlds IMHO...
  14. Lovely car this Andy, great colour, hope to see it again soon...
  15. Agreed, its definitely outstayed its welcome under your bonnet, get an alternative sorted...
  16. The sensor will have a pressure rating written on it, itll be visible when you remove it from the housing... Just match it to that..
  17. My Golf was a bit like this, set the timing and the mixture yesterday and now its all good... Might be worth a go..
  18. You looked chuffed to have it out for a run today, you look very at home in the Valver.. Big thanks for the help on the Golf today, well chuffed with it, 5 rados together, i felt like the odd one out...
  19. Thermostat housing and all associated seals?? Heater Matrix??
  20. I dont blame you at all Steve, ive had various things pinched off previous cars, its really isnt difficult, if its not your car dont touch it...
  21. Think John is saying " but it only does parts for Renaults"
  22. Saw this at Harewood and it is a nice one, id say you would want to start with 3.5k ish and see how you go from there...
