  2. Glad you got there in the end trudubrstu, which sensor was it you changed, was it the yellow or the blue one??
  3. Remove fogs and indicators first and then there are 4 17mm (I think) bolts that you have to undo, 2 on either side mounted in the chassis legs - they will be tight...
  4. I dont know the answer to the question but look forward to seeing the results... PM on root ..
  5. Ive been treated to a ride out in one of these and they are certainly not slow - id say they are stupidly fast... Lovely looking cars, enjoy yourself...
  6. Mate you might as well move over there
  7. Well Rob as summer is approaching maybe i could interest you in a stunning convertible in white. :)
  8. Looking very nice... You had any clearance issues with the car at that height?
  9. Yip, id agree with that. There should be a slight noise when the car is at full lock though..
  10. Looking very nice.... Welcome to the forum..
  11. Im a member on that forum and its not the first time that Mr Paccino has portrayed himself as pen15.... I do love Cosworths though!!
  12. Not my cup of tea thanks Jimmi  Someone must know something about these cars.....
  13. Apologies if this is in the wrong section, please move if needed... Anyway, have acquired a 87 205 CTI and am intending on breaking it up. Does anyone have any experience with these cars or the 205 1.6 GTI and has any idea what things are worth?? Regrettably the seats are passed their best but most other parts seem decent enough including the hood... Any guides for values of parts - bumpers, body kit, dash, gearbox, engine, lights etc etc would be appreciated..
  14. Good question Therapor, i havent got a clue... You are correct Toad, i just have been led to believe that having the passat mechs is a better way to do it..
  15. I know there is a lot of info about this mod but can anyone answer this question please.. Will the Mechs from the front of a passat work with the rear handles - and could therefore be used on a Corrado?? Anyone done this or have any ideas?
  16. Goldie

    Braided hoses

You do as they are considerably bigger than the standard Rado ones...
  17. Your welcome mate, better on your car than lying about doing nothing... Did you manage to sell the 17s and how easy are you finding painting the rims, does it include doing the inside???
  18. Im no expert but is the starter not sticking in? Fomr what i understand they are meant to disengage once the engine is turned over. Keep us posted on the VT mount, im keen to get a one of these on mine..
  19. Looking good Andy, will look well nice on the car.. You just need the bolts now..
  20. I can appreciate what youve said above Rob but there is a reason why these jobs are quite dear at a gargage - because they can turn into a ball ache!! Its all about priorities, i genuinely think i could spend about 10 grand on my car doing this that and the other but things have to happen in a certain order particularly if money is the limiting factor.. Personally id say the charger could wait, keep saving towards it and do the jobs that NEED doing and then the ones you WANT doing... Goodness me i sound sensible in my old age!!!
  21. Either what chrishill has said or it could be the thermostat housing itself - if it is a VR...
  22. Does any one have a suggestion on where to get a Magnex system for a VR?? Ill be contacting Darren soon with a view to getting some stuff done so does he do them or would i need to supply it to him???????
  23. Yep... Drivers side is a left hand thread...
  24. Ouch, id be mortified if i had done that...... Very nice blue VR ....
