  1. That car was crashed by one of their mates apparently. Wasn't a bad day out just a lot of the same sort of thing, which I suppose is what "scene" type shows are really. The only thing I'm gutted I never got a picture of was this blonde bird in a blue dress with the best arse I have seen in a long while :D
  2. I went. Was an ok day out but I think I'm officially getting old - I'm so bored of identikit air ride and Rotiform cars. Didn't take any pics at all sorry...
  3. Yeah nice one cheers Andrew. I will be in touch in the next few weeks :)
  4. No I'm not too slow but I've just got back from holiday and I am brassic :(
  5. Hoovered one of the dash screw covers up then sent my mrs off on one cos I cut the recently put in bag open to find it, as it was the last one and she's addicted to hoovering...
  6. Yep I'm in :D That's excellent info up there from Bristol Baron. We didn't really get chatting to many people til the Friday night when we were leaving early Saturday and people who were leaving themselves. Interesting about the dates changing as well - so is it not true it's always around Ascension Day?
  7. Yes - me! I'm absolutely desperate for one but every time you put one up for sale I'm either skint or too slow and it's sold!
  8. I did consider that Kev but I always worry if the one I buy is worse than the one I've got. It's not a major concern for me at the minute, the car doesn't do many miles so I'll get the head off when I take it off the road for the winter and have the work done then. May also combine doing this and fitting a set of 268s if the cash flow situation is ok when I get round to it :) Cheers for your replies
  9. Dates for next year - 13-16th May. Do you want to start a new thread for next years Craig?
  10. Last years was definitely the best show I attended last year
  11. Cheers Kev. Not what I wanted to hear but I kind of knew in my heart of hearts that's what it be. Spoke to a mate earlier and he said it's not too bad a job to replace the valve guides, just sounds time consuming to me. Funny you say that CW - most of my mates give me stick cos there's two missing!
  12. I'm going to be replacing my hoses with silicon in the near future but I'm going to buy the Roose Motorsport ones. I was tempted to give the cheapo Chinese eBay ones a go, but the thought of blowing a coolant hose miles from home puts me off. There's a good chance they may be perfectly ok but for my own piece of mind I'd rather invest in known quality and a lifetime guarantee.
  13. Just whipped out my plugs to see what sort of condition they were in and to see if they could give me an indication of what my burning issue could be. They're pretty dark but dry so I'm thinking over fuelling as opposed to oil contamination. What do you reckon? They're not actually quite as dark as they look in the pics
  14. Is it just held on by the bung? Mine came in lipped last week and is barely fixed in place now, I assumed I'd lost the circlip...
  15. Those SGS jacks have a very good reputation and seem very good for the money. If you want to spend a bit more, the Arcan jacks from Costco are supposed to be excellent.
  16. Haha only actually washed it once and used Optimum No Rinse. Funny thing was when I was just running round with it covered in road grime, no one gave it a second glance. As soon as I gave it a quick wash people were stopping me to take pictures. Funny what shiny paint does for you  Yeah might have to do that Sean. Was thinking about a set of 268s so could maybe get it all done at the same time. Annoying thing is the chains and tensioners were replaced 20k ago...
  17. Hahaha me and my girlfriend have just been "discussing" next year and it ended with me saying something along the lines of "Well I'm not going back to f@#%$&g Turkey!!!"
  18. Anytime mate. If you or anyone else wants any advice on going - ask away :) Yeah it's not actually that bad bearing in mind we were paying motorway services fuel prices. I done two tankfuls while we were there as well just driving round and that and we ate out twice a day every day so actually thinking about it, it's not that bad....
  19. Was over there eight days in total. The £1200 included the ferry, fuel, two overnight stops there and back, spending money and eating out every day. Worth every penny though :)
  20. We stayed here in Portschach and it was excellent. I had a one bedroom apartment and my mates had a two bed apartment and they were €300 each for the week including a free Worthersee card which gets you into most attractions for free. I think all in I done about £1200 so not cheap, but you could do it for a lot less if you are careful/not stupid  The tunnels are brilliant but absolutely cane your fuel, as does the Autobahn
  21. James - just do it mate! Honestly I waited and waited and something was always in the way but it was so worth it when I did get round to it.
