  1. I tried this and you need to relocate your ecu and the front edge of the scuttle is a slightly different shape as well. I have an SWG one but I'm really not keen on how it looks tbh.
  2. Haha - remember that girl who got her cans out? John Daniel nearly had a coronary, threw his hi-viz jacket over her and dragged her off the stage
  3. I know I've got as much chance of finding these as finding a piece of hay in a stack of needles but it worked with my last couple of ads on here so it's got to be worth a shot. Basically as above - I messed about for ages trying to decide whether or not to buy Tomis Recaros and by the time I got round to it they'd been sold. I've kicked myself ever since and decided that I need these in my life. So what you got stashed away then?
  4. Or maybe try something like Menz Final Finish, Lime Prime or Klasse All-In-One for very mild correction?
  5. I have tried loads of different polishes over the years but the one I have settled on and use exclusively now is the Menzerna range on Sonus or Lake Country pads, followed by a coat of ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze and topped with Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub. Again I've tried LOADS of waxes from all price points, from super cheap to hugely expensive, but for ease of use, value for money, looks and longevity I just can't help coming back to DJ RR. Or if you prefer a sealant I found Opti-Seal to perform brilliantly.
  6. Looks like you all had a great day. I've never been a fan of Sciroccos but that green one is something else and the first time I saw it I started scouring the classifieds for one. That orangey yellow one is gorgeous as well.
  7. Er... No I won't ;)
  8. No I took it out to get it up to temp before I drained it. I'll take it out for a rip next week then and see what's what. Can't wait to get it back on the road - that 15 minute run today has brought all the love flowing back :)
  9. No - haven't driven it since I done the oil change, just filled it to the dipstick level. Does it need to be taken for a rip to get it to "settle" then Clumpy?
  10. Oh right yeah nice one :)
  11. When you say filter bowl, do you mean the filter housing Rog? I completely drained that when I changed the filter. That's good news then Clumps but I'm still half a litre under...
  12. Just done an oil and filter change on my VR. Took it out for a run to get it up to temp, left it draining for almost an hour jacked up and flat but it only drained just under 5 litres. I've refilled it up to the correct mark on the dipstick and it took exactly 5 litres... Was under the impression it was 6 litres for a VR engine - what have I done wrong?

Good choice - they're the greatest wheels seen on any car EVER!
  14. I'm so jealous! Please don't put a video up nep - I've got space on my credit card for a turbo install but I'm in a job I hate and can't bear the thought of spending another 5 years there paying it off
  15. Shame eh Clumpy? The only way round this to cheer me up is to sell me yours for five hundred notes
  16. Haha - I'd been tearing myself apart with the should I/shouldn't I over this interior. Finally gave in and decided I was going to try and sort a deal out with Tomi then when I clicked on the thread saw Dan had sent an offer... Clearly wasn't meant to be :)
  17. They're all fake splits I think Ron. Personally not a fan of fake splits myself but I know some people don't mind them so just thought I'd throw it in there.
  18. I like them wheels but just not sure on a Corrado. May work with a bit of colour coding round the edges of the cut outs.... With a £700 budget have you thought about a set of RS reps?

    Gearbox oil

Is that correct Delfinis? Everything I've read on here and other sites says to use MT90 or Castrol SMX-S which is now Syntrans Multivehicle...

    Gearbox oil

Cheers chaps. I done a bit of research and found MT90 and Syntrans both recommended so decided to go for the Castrol as it's cheaper. You can get it from Halfords as well so it's convenient and even with the forum discount it's still cheaper than Opie when you add the postage on. Just didn't know whether I needed the straight 75 or the 75/90.

    Gearbox oil

Just a quick one - seeing as SMX has been replaced, which is the correct oil for a VR6 gearbox? Syntrans 75 or Syntrans 75/90?
  22. Can't believe this is still for sale. It's really testing my self control... Free bump Tomi
  23. Oh man - I'm really regretting not getting one of these now...
  24. Definitely. Was gutted I missed the last one. Incidentally what's happened to Fay? Haven't seen her post on here for a while
