  1. In all seriousness are they paid for Tomi? If not I would say there's a good chance he has had a change of heart...
  2. Nice one cheers chaps. So basically they're decent enough for the money but a pig to fit? I think I'll wait til I get back from Austria then. What are the head studs like - notorious for snapping or generally ok?
  3. Anyone using one of these manifolds? http://bit.ly/16gTVEl £130 seems very, very cheap and I know the rule is usually you get what you pay for but it does look good in the pics...
  4. Haha no problem Tomi - worth a go  Last call for K6KNY :D
  5. Are they paid for Tomi? If so - give him 24 hours then send them to me ;)
  6. Same here - always use the tool although it's not like you have to do it very often
  7. Still can't believe that happened mate. There are some right scumbags around
  8. I got a set of the cheapo BBT ones from GSF and I've got no complaints whatsoever. Not entirely sure how you judge them though tbh...
  9. Yeah nice one Craig. Whereabouts in London are you?
  10. Anyone heard from the op? I mean if the classifieds on here can get him that wound up, imagine the carnage if he trod on an upturned plug! Worried sick ere...
  11. Yeah they're the ones Ian. They were only about £15 for the pair and looked great when I first fitted them but driving with them is terrible
  12. That's what I've been clicking on Jim but until now it's taken me to what I assumed was the listing page ie where you went to write your advert. All seems fine now though cheers :)
  13. Hold on - so are you saying the classifieds no longer appear on here?
  14. Just seen a green 16v in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Seen quite a few round here in the last couple of months...
  15. Well seeing as I don't have a build thread I thought I'd just update this one. I got it taxed on Monday and took it out for the first blast of the year with the new VSR chip in - never realised how much I'd missed driving it! Got a fair few little bits and pieces done over the winter but nothing majorly exciting unfortunately Remote central locking fitted Remote boot release fitted MKIV Golf key fob conversion Heater dial illumination made and fitted One touch sunroof open relay Porsche oil cap (birthday present from my girls) fitted Repaired the broken VibraTec engine mount SWG scuttle fitted Repaired the broken mirror housing and fitted blue tint convex mirror glass. Really not impressed with the mirror glass - the glass reminds me of the plastic mirrors on the eyewash station on the trucks at work, it's awful! Almost gives me a headache looking in the mirrors. Boot build trimmed and illumination done Then a few boring service jobs like oil and filter change, trans fluid, rear pads (one of which had disintegrated!) and a handbrake cable which had seized off. The planned interior retrim never happened unfortunately but is still on the cards for later in the year if I don't find the Recaro interior I'm looking for. So that's that for now and other than an MOT and new door mirror glass, just going to get the bonnet and spoiler repaired and painted then do a bit of pre Worthersee maintenance.
  16. They look really good James. It's probably just me but I always think monoblock style wheels always look bigger than they actually are.
  17. Agree with Sean - they look excellent!
  18. Er... Kind of already been done by Baz that Kev. Still funny the second time
  19. I can't see them using Safari on my iphone (unless of course no ones posted an ad for a few days)
  20. Got to admit when I first saw these I thought they would be far too big, would overpower and dominate the small interior of a Corrado but they look absolutely fantastic!
  21. If you have to replace the senders on top of the housing it's loads quicker to do if you remove the offside headlight. Takes 2 minutes and will make your life so much easier
  22. Hahaha this supercharger has been keeping me awake at night! I was seriously thinking about jibbing Worthersee and chucking the money at your charger Ron. Looks like I may have been saved an expensive disappointment :) Also been thinking long and hard about turbos but I swore after I built an insanely quick but absolutely unreliable beetle my days of heavily tuned cars are over - I just can't be arsed spending every weekend fixing what used to be a very reliable car. My plans are pretty much the same as yours and Redborbets now - cams, six branch and ARBs (already have the CDA and VSR). Plus I've always hankered after an R33 Skyline so if I do get to the point where I fancy a big turbo I'll spend the money on one of them rather than mod my Corrado...

It's nowhere near as dark as it looks in the pic. It's an absolute piece of **** to fit too
  24. Talk to Vince at Stea... Oh wait hang on (sorry couldn't resist  ) I'm pretty sure the flap mech needs 14v to trigger as I'm fairly certain I was told to hook my VSR to pin 14(?) on my ECU as I have a dizzy. I had the controller so just used that anyway. This is a pretty helpful thread http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5923061-**Please-Help**-Schrick-manifold-controller-box-issues In all seriousness though Ron, give Vince a call he will be more than willing to give you all the advice you need over the phone/email (well he was for me)
  25. ^ See that looks mint, even with the hole for the ECU it looks loads better to me. I did start modifying the channel on the MKII one I had to clear the ECU but it had a different profile on the front edge which didn't follow the shape front edge of the Corrado scuttle, so I gave up. Well that and I reversed over it
