Mines red all over - boot floor, under the rear seats, floor pan, inside the doors etc. All factory and stickers all intact. I take it this is unusual then?

Yep same here. Except I gave mine to a girl I was seeings little brothers when I was 15, to try and occupy them while we were babysitting so I could get a bit further on with getting her clothes off... I've dabbled in the past mate. Got quite into it, made some decent contacts in America and ended up with a really nice mint boxed and carded collection about 15 years ago which I sold when The Phantom Menace came out and the vintage market went through the roof. Got serious money for it but sometimes wish I still had it all. Still got a few bits but nothing exciting and will buy something every now and again when the mood takes me.

I'm thinking of upgrading the TT calipers on my car to Porsche 4 pots but not sure which ones I need for 312/25mm discs out of 996.351.421/2, 996.351.425/6 or 996.351.429/30 - anyone on here running them able to point me in the right direction? I've tried googling and searched on here but can't get a definitive "these are the ones you need" answer. Cheers :)

I normally only use V - Power in mine but when we were in Austria I was just putting the local 98 in as it was 20c a litre cheaper and was convenient, switched back to Shell Super Racing/V-Power on the way back and noticed no difference whatsoever other than in my wallet... Incidentally I remember Autocavan very well - had loads of their bits on my cars over the years. Geoff Thomas was an absolutely brilliant engineer. One of my friends was the branch manager of the Farnham branch and ended up being given Geoffs MKII that was used as his test bed and had pretty much every item he designed on it, including an early remote damping coilover setup. Always wondered what happened to that car
