What about soft starting for the fans? The spal's can draw a fair bit of current on startup, although I think I need to maybe downgrade from 2x 11" to an 11" and 9". Anyway,as you're aleady aware i am very much in the market for one of these. ;0) keep us informed. :salute:

6a or later ace. The 6a is pretty much the same as a 9a tbh. Sorry i'm an audi pervert and that is a beaut of a car. I soo want an s2 but i'd settle for one of those too. -
worth a shot,if the engine isn't coming out of warm up enrichment because the sensor is reading too cold then that would cause the car to run rich during the test.
-
/\/\/\ it wouldn't..
-
? Just use a block of wood. The engine is out with the sump off no??

yeah,my golf mk 3 dosn't move from 90.Under any conditions. However the g60 goes down below 80 when on the motorway and around 90 in slow traffic etc. 100 would start to make me feel uncomfortable though, but as I said if the system still has it under control and it isn't climbing further ...
-
As long as it is steady and not climbing with good oil temps as well....

Has anyone else led underneath their car while running?
dirtytorque replied to Toad's topic in Engine Bay
i did spend some quality time under mine a while ago with the engine running looking for an oil leak. Not broke out the stethoscope yet though. Doctors and nurses with my g60.hmm. I think my girlfriend would draw the line at that. -
after all that effort i'd want to test it too.
-
as above.. He's has a mocal to combat hard driving temps but I think he is running a smaller charger pulley aswell?!?? My standard G hovers around the 100-108 mark most of the time.

i think the early ones have a red/black one on the coil that feeds the rpm signal to the clocks.like the valvers. My g60 is at work.Maybe someone else can confirm or deny.
