  1. with the tall block and the 2E rods you'd need to use the ABF pistons to bring the compression back up. The 9a's will not work.Different wrist pin diameter and pistion compression height. Best to start with a tall 2.0 16v block in the first place. Buy the time you scratch around for the parts it will be easier to just get hold of an ABF bottom end. Saying that I do Have some ABF pistons and a spare 16v intermediate shaft/pulley,but i don't have a spare oil pump cog to drive the oil pump via the intermediate shaft if you did want to convert your 2e into a 16v block.. Not sure it is the best way for you to go though.
  2. Don't tell me. I don't want to know. It's probably best that I find out after I've stripped it all down otherwise I might be put off from doing it!  Ok.
  3. :) I know what you mean. I was hoping you were gonna say"it aint that bad .." Sigh.. I'll have to price it up tomorrow.

  15. Well that depends what has been done to it already?!! If your buying lisaK's car then just enjoy it first. It's already modified a fair bit I believe. Drive it and then see how you feel about it. Good luck with the new car anyway.

  17. No,but that is no big deal.Just make sure it is topped back up with the correct hydraulic fluid b4 starting, and then double check the level once you do.

  19. your ass? good progress btw :D He said £900 not £9. £8.50 with CF discount.
  20. is the shift rpm hard coded? I guess you'd need to modify this to work with a wasted spark setup, else it would read double the frequency!!?
  21. I challenge anyone to say they have a better engine crane. :)
  22. from the things you mentioned the only reason you need to take the bottom end out is if you want to clean it all up along with the gearbox maybe along with the engine bay??? Oil pump and gasket can all be done easily from underneath with engine in. If your going to take it all out it will be much easier to do it all together.
