  1. Defo have to sort something out......too much not good! Was looking at vagcat see the G60 came with the lower temp 90c thero time switch on the head (16v comes with 100c or 105c one). Does your fan stay on for longer after a spirited run? Wondered if its overkill if I fit the 90c one? I'm still using the standard g60 thermo switch. And no I don't think it runs the fan excessively long.I am running a larger VR rad though so the engine isn't getting overly hot. still get a nice heat blast when you open the bonnet though. rob_g60 I have to say that's not where i'd put a vent, but any venting has to be better than current setup. And you say the temps have improved so... The temps on my fmic creep up in slow moving traffic more than i'd like(I wonder if the old g60 intercooler for all its faults suffered as much with heat soak). Sorry blue95.Went ff on a tangent.
  2. or he is trying to raise the money for a chip n pulley more nail polish cannabis and ice cream.
  3. i have been consiering this too. Will be interested to see what you do.
  4. you'll have to tap into one of your engine bay vacuum pipes then. Any one that sees manifold pressure. bump for a vr bod to make a suggestion.
  5. dunno  weird. I don't even know why said that.
  6. easiest will probably be to t off the mfa vac pipe at the back of the clocks. I'm assuming VR's have this pipe..
  7. Good point. It's about appreciating your corrado(whatever model) for what it is. You will feel constantly innadequate if you are always comparing it up against other cars. There are some good cars out there in the wild.Sooner or later no matter what you do to your car one of them will send you home with your tail between your legs.
  8. just delete the thread and get someone to erase rileys memory up until the point where he was watching big brother eating an ice cream wrapped in a blanket while painting his toenails. I'm sure we can all get past this.
  9. Thank you for the compliment mate, it's not often I get the chance to do something like this, so I'm putting a fair amount of effort into it. I can't wait to start bolting all the shiny bits on, the biggest problem I'm going to have is remembering where everthing goes on a car I took apart nearly 2 years ago.... :D Yeah I arrogantly thught i'd remember where everything went and was stumped by a few things, and that was only after a few months. Well good luck.
  10. This sort of thing is alien to me,that sort of attention to detail but I can see where this is going. This is going to be an incredible corrado. Hats off. :salute:
  11. Just because you remove the injectors and nothing happened doesn't mean that they were not working,i.e it could be you have no/weak spark and thus the fuel isn't being ignited on cylinder in question. Something to bear in mind. Get a new battery and start again checking that you have spark and fuel on all four cylinders.
  12. i have a nice ali one that u can have for a £17 delivered. I'll post a pic once I find it later.
  13. that long ali boost pipe... where did you get it from?
  14. nice garage. Looks like it is well lit. :)
  15. yeah steering is working fine. thnks again mate. Hows the squash coming along? :)
  16. Thanks for the interest and comments. I drove it for the first time last week actually abd it was a horrible experince.I was rushing because I wanted to take it to stonor park and it just wasn't ready.Megasquirt wasn't setup right and I had a faulty radiator and the temps were creeping up. Have had a week to iron these things out and today was the most enjoyable drive I have had in thus far.Nearly normal driving.Still needs alot of work on the map side of things but I'd be happy to make a longish journeys in it now. Hopefully it is going in the right direction.
  17. yeah it I hear you but it is perfectly functional.just got back from over an hours drive which included all types of driving and no coolant temp dramas so coolant is circulating. There are alot of things i want to do in that general area. a boost return for one and also a engine breather into the intake system via a catch tank. My main concern at the mo though is a reasonable level of driveability and lambda control for the MOT which is due soon. My supercharger to intercooler pipework is horrible.Just made of of multiple sections of stuff I had lying around.I was loathed to spend too much money until i saw that it worked. So now i can refine it a bit.Actually it is stuff you probably already had at some point because I think you had a pro-alloy (jabba sport )fmic did you not?
  18. Keep focusing on how good it will be when it is done Tom. it's not easy getting through all the little hurdles that a project can throw up.There is always a way though to get these things done though.Sometimes the little jobs can just take as long as they take. I've lost whole weekends to things that I thought would take an hour. It's tuff to stay motivated sometimes.
  19. I agree that paved garage is just sublime. :D Flucker. thnks raddo_rob. :salute:
  20. Should be about done playing around with the engine now. Just have to configure the megasquirt properly now which will involve lots of driving. :) About bloody time.Nice to have a car again and not just a mixture of parts in a garage.
  21. smear pooh over it and leave it over night. If you have any knocking about that is. Hmm.. my third pooh related post. :cuckoo:
  22. i'd come but only if you promise to move the pooh hill.
  23. :( That's pants. Time to get a donor car and store it away somewhere I think. Maybe they finally got round to rewmoving the part numbers for all obsolete bits? Surely that's much better than being under the illusion of the part still existing, and then going to the dealer who just points you back out the door.... I know i'd prefer to know straightaway if something is obsolete or not! yeah but it is just sad to think that the cars are now on the endangered species list.
  24. lol. Should have just played a video game or something. :)
