  1. Not according to the Bentley emanuel Mr Charged. :) Feel free to correct of wrong. :salute: 12 bar is factory new from memory. 8 bar is the lowest permissable. re plugs:It is likely that the reason those plugs are black is because he ran it with the engine cold and it was probably going through it's warmup enrichment. He needs to whip em out after a good run.I want to see them after a pinking session. :) If the car is not overtimed then I guess it has to be fuel related..maybe lack of. Is this car chip 'n pullied?
  2. was that from a fully warm engine?Had you been for a drive? If so you don't seem to be running lean anyway... Opposite infact. 150 psi.. not brill but in spec. When the mechanic he set the timing did he have the blue temp sender disconnected ? Did he follow the digifant procedure that was outlined earlier?
  3. Are your oil temps high when it happends? Maybe keep an eye on that too as it could be contributing to your loss of oil pressure.
  4. I know what you mean by that. Neither are cars you would lock up, walk away and then turn back for a 2nd or 3rd glance. You'd just keep walking. I'd happily own either though, but it would be like a brother / sister relationship, rather than the seductive mistress that the Corrado is, sapping you of all your energy and money and yet you always want more of her and can't stop looking at her arse. LOL Now that is some funny $hit. So true so true..
  5. No probs, that's what holy water is for. :)
  6. It was nice that you were so gracious about it.Glad it worked out for you. :thumbleft:
  7. It's a corrado. It's best not to ask these things in case you find out for yourself. Don't say that,i'm paranoid about this car as it is. Stated up with a few spins on the startert and idled really well. Seriously considering road tax and MOT but I should really sell my Golf first. Hmm.
  8. locking wheel nuts are a curse sent here by the devil him/herself.
  9. ..will wait for your build thread then b4 i ask how the hel it fell apart. :)
  10. I know what he(James) means... Can't se him just being happy just occasionally polishing it on a Sunday now that is pretty much finished. The lego comment was funny tho. :)
  11. No worries. Might try and start it tomorrow with the battery from my golf. Just to see if it starts.
  12. ummm... yes please. That will be good. I'll take ownership. :)

  15. what petrol are you putting in it? Is the car running hot at all? After your next run as soon as you get home take the spark plugs out and post up a picture nof it. :salute:

  17. *Blows dust of thread* Wow check out all the turbo talk above. I didn't go that way in the end decided to stick with the charger. I am in the process of finishing off my 2.0 16v g60. It s running megasquirt 2 extra and is using a distributorless setup, incorporating a 32-1 trigger wheel. Just updating my thread for posterity.
