  1. did you take off the blue temp sensor when adjusting the idle otherwise the ecu will tell the isv to keep the idle what it is at despite you screwing the idle screw in and out,,
  2. think this is soemthing you do when you have done everything else already, kinda like the icing on the cake for any tuning you have already done,,,
  3. so what about a group buy? also is the efficiency of the radiator affected much and does the fan work as well as the stock cooling fan as yours is not cowled?
  4. here is another option also radtec kit not sure if this is golf g60 only though,,, jabba kit does look tidy though,
  5. supersprint definitley nothing else comes close, those magnex twin tail boxes have a nasty plate inside where the flow is split, its like a brick wall, very nasty,, german bastuck systems are also good, think g-werks can get these now,,
  6. looks good, any chance we could do a possible group buy on this to bring the price down further?
  7. MAP sensor runs out at 1bar,, therefore ecu opens isv to bleed boost,, only way round it would be different map sensor with the ecu mapped to the higher boost levels? or maybe aftermarket ecu & MAP sensor
  8. not 100% sure prob about 187 id imagine? RR did not have coastdown facility to measure transmission losses :-(
  9. went on the rollers on sat, 152 bhp at the wheels,, not bad? g60 68mm pulley sns chip std intercooler, 1 bar of boost,,

    help...

best buy a new one as your car will be running in open loop all the time which is not so good for fuel economy,, also you should really be running an air fuel gauge with your set up to keep an eye on things,,
  11. pirelli pzero`s are my first choice, the assymetric ones,, that way you can rotate them too if you want to as oppose to the directional type, also rate the new dunlop sport sp`s,,,
  12. SHOULD BE GREEN FLUID, RED IS atf WHICH IS NASTY FOR VW RACK SEALS
  13. watch this space as i plan to do something similar over the winter,,,
  14. some of the americans have been using their 2E equivalent engine (ABA) as the base for a 2 litre conversion, the 2e being a suitable engine as it has the oil squirtes for cooling and early 2e`s had a forged crank, this coupled with a bahn brenner head gasket and seem to be having success,, obviously this conversion would be better and more reliable with the stock g60 gasket and custom forged pistons which are readily available, aba swap 1 aba swap 2 aba swap 3
  15. thas fine solong as you DONT paint the inside, as if you did all the paint would flake off and block your oil pick up,, happened to us when a reputable company made a baffled sump for us, and thought it would be a good idea to let their apprentice paint the inside!!
  16. yeap the charger will need to be removed as the bracket for the charger is on top of the waterpump,,
  17. been driving about last night and thismorning abs changing up at about 5700 revs and as you say it is quicker,,,
  18. read darrens post a while ago about re-routing the isv, sounds dodgy,,
  19. hmm gonna keep a close eye on the air fuel and boost gauge on the way home see if i can fathom it out,, then check all my vac hoses etc, could be the start of a simple boost leak or something, my charger silencer box is a little suspect but should be getting an RSR outlet form darren as soon as they are ready. also im still running the carbon canister, so maybe ill take that off at the weekend to tidy it all up a bit, another place where i could get a leak.
  20. ill try that, seems strange though that it was pulling all the way round fine until this week,,
  21. do they not sell kent ones? I have a piper one on mine which i purchased from tsr performance for about £110, can get them cheaper if you get them form the states but dont forget your import duty,,
  22. maybe i am revving her a bit hard then?
  23. hi ya im running sns chip and 68mm pulley, last couple days it seems like my isv is bleeding off my boost at about 5950 rpm as the car looses power of power all of a sudden ther these last few days when the mornings have been really cold, seems to co-inside with the car reaching just in excess 15psi of boost,, how can i stop this? retard the timing a little or richen the fuel mixture up a bit on the CO pot? :?: or just keep the revs down a bit? this is a new thing as she usually pulls cleanly to 6100 rpm easily,,
  24. thanks henny, so either or but the golf g60 one is best,,
