  1. it's unsaveable. it'd better be pressed :brickwall:
  2. I'm from barcelona  It's hard to get a cheap corrado here btw.. really hard; but I hope you're lucky!!! if you find a cheap one and need some help, drop me a pm!!!
  3. ok! it's good to know that it fixed your issue, because this hasn't failed in my car yet  so.. it's just a matter of time  btw, ask shaung60, he'll have some for sale for sure
  4. sorry, but I think it's :pukeright: thans for the pic!! :D
  5. are you refering to the electrical connector, or the vaccum pipe???
  6. I'd get it fixed at your local spec. and ask them to "just check" for the other issue and tell you how much it would cost to get it repaired. if it's easy, DIY; otherway, get it done in there
  7. could you post a pic of it? so it is, slider controls and 2 buttons away from the sliders theirselves???
  8. hey so, there were no early style corrados with aircon in UK? only late ones????
  9. my 1st time :camp: it was a broken pipe, and the second one, a loose one. Both times, I realised it by opening the hood and asking someone to engage 1st speed with handbrake on (so that the engine moves, but the car not). same way as you'd check a for a broken engine mount. or the spartan way :norty: , push accelerator pedal to the metal, select 1st, and suddenly leave clutch pedal go back to it's original position (just kidding eh!)
  10. mmmm may I be getting confused about all of this?!??! I'm going mad All this mental problem comes because a guy dropped a passat climatronic into his toledo 1L which is similar to corrado late-style heater controls and wirings, and he said he had to re-wire a.c. compressor and radiator fans, as well as a.c. pressure switch etc... What I'd like to know is, and sorry TONEDEF for all PM's I've sent to you (which I have read trillions of times... but I have a mental mess ATM  ), .... is if the climatronic would only be a question of swapping only: 1. heater box 2. lcd display and wirings from heater box to lcd display and from lcd display to fusebox aaaaaaaaand keep my existing a.c. wirings that connect a.c. pressure switches with ¿what do they connect to? aaaaaaaaand keep the radiator fan wirings as well ????? :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: and all this effort just to have something else that can break down in the future  edit, to clarify: I would like to know how do the early style heater controls (the sliders, same as mk2 golf) actuate on the a.c. and on the radiator fan (1st and 2nd stage) the question comes because if I remove the corrado a.c. and heater box.... how should I tell the fusebox that a.c. clutch and radiator fan has to kick in when I select cold air from the climatronic? will it be a matter of only plugging into the fusebox the climatronic wirings.. and everything will keep working fine (a.c. and rad fan)?
  11. as a bit of update, I found this in clubgti: fusebox connector "N " 1 - red/yel- fresh air motor & resistor 2 - red/wht- radiator fan control module pin 3, thermal switch pin 2 and radiator fan pin 3 3 - red/wht- battery 4 - red/yel- A/C pres switch pin 4 5 - blu/red- motronic engine control module pin 39, A/C press switch pin 2 & clutch relay 6 - yel/red- fresh air switch pin 4
  12. I've had it twice, and both of them it was the main air pipe that attaches to the TB
  13.   what problem? Thanks for all your pms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
  14. yes but my corrado was assembled in Spain and I don't have these buttons, thus I think mine was factory fitted... is there any way to check it?
  15. yes, that's what I'd like to know :) thanks!
  16. hi, thanks for your reply. I own an early style corrado which I think it was factory a.c. (how can I identify diavia one?) What I meant, is that when I select the positions of the slider controls that have a snow picture, there must be something that sends a signal to the ¿fusebox? to inform that a.c. has to be activated, but, what is it?
  17. just to make things clear... The passat b3 climatronic main unit (LCD screen) has 3 plugs. the wire number 2 for the 3rd plug says "Air Conditioning Ready". I'd need to know if it means that the a.c. compressor will be turned on when this wire has +12v. I'd also need to know how do the corrado early style (slider) heater controls actuates on the a.c. compressor. It might be only needed to bridge 3/2 wire from the climatronic to the wire of the early heater controls... or not does anyone have the early heater controls at home to please have a look? I have them in the dash in the car at the moment... thanks!!
  18. Hi, I'm doing a bit of research on this, and I'd like to know how the early style heater controls trigger the a.c. system. I imagine it's got a wire + switch in the slider controls but I'd like to make sure of it. edit: I'd also like to know how do the heater controls activate the 1st and 2nd radiator fan stage :) does anyone know it? a picture of the heater controls out of the dash would be helpful, as I don't have the dasho out at the moment  I promise a goooooooooooooood thread if someone throws enough light into this :norty: thanks :) :notworthy:
  19. The corrado seat recliner lever has this function too, at least mine
  20. yes, you can pull out the vents; however, you won't get access to the little clip by this
  21. you can remove the speedo clocks' surround, and the switches between clocks and middle vent to get access to the lil bit that has broken. yiou can replace it with a little of hard-metal-wire or make one with plastic.
  22. The only way I can imagine of is: -remove the door card of the door that actually works -remove the door card of the dead one. now, remove the door pin of the dead one, and introduce some kind of semi-hard metal wire and, by looking at the OK door, try to catch the door lever that opens the door... sorry can't think of anything else. or.... something I'll tell you by pm ;) as it's not a good idea to post it here
  23. so the problem is that the door pin goes up and instantaneously down? This happened to me once and I had to unplug the central locking pump (located in the boot, driver's side). pls correct me if this isn't what is happening to you
  24. I did it to my car twice after heavy rain. Talcum stopped squeacking noise for some miles only :? What I did was to throw talcum on the belt directly with the engine on. Needless to say I replaced that belt next week  Won't you have a bad bearing or something?
