  1. quick one. can it be done with WD40 or similar products, or it needs to be done with carb cleaner only?
  2. I'm getting a 2nd hand one at a price of 30€. the chap who sells it to me says it has little rust (mine is a piece of rust with a little of metal  ). I have found in vagcat.com that abf manifold is the same as rhd kr, strange isn't it? Well I'll know soon
  3. yes, lhd. isn't it the same then???? my kr is lhd too :| :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? it might be my 2nd epic fail in this thread
  4. I have bought the first section only, it is, the 4-2. I'll use my downpipe actually. iirc kr exhaust manifold (4-2 section) was the same for 9a, kr and abf
  5. were there any differences? I have heard of late corrados only allowing one touch down feature, while earlys (mine) let the driver's go up as well on one touch... I ask it because I fitted a politecnica aftermarket window regulator and now I have to click the switch again once the window is all way down after the one touch down feature. Others who also use this regulator arn't having this problem with late style corrados, and another guy is in the same trouble too with an early one :pukeright:
  6. I'll be getting an oem manifold tomorrow fom an abf. I hope it works :D
  7. update: would one of these fit to corrado kr, without the need to buy a cat supressor pipe, etc? http://cgi.ebay.es/VW-MK2-GOLF-GTI-16V- ... 33579ceddc so, it is, drop it in the car, and bolt on to the mid exhaust silencer???
  8. yes but an oem one will cost about &40, while an inox one will cost 150++ or more including the bypass.. and it won't have the flexible section and I'll have to replace exhaust hanging rubbers every month
  9. hey, it sounds clear, thanks. so I would have tu buy a cat bypass .. and it is more money to spend.. in addition to this, the first silencer would be deleted and I'd not like the car to be louder than it is now.. I'll try to find an oem manifold... thanks!!!!!!!!
  10. It could be an ice guard, it is clearly OEM kit with the OBEN stamped on it. Ah, quick bit of research and i have found it, it's a flame guard! Part number 049 133 360 fitted to Mk 2 Golfs on the PL type engine(USA export market), I guess it must be something to do with the way emissions kit works in the US, the fuel probably gets dumped back into the intake.
  11. okkk thanks for your replies. I thought it was (another) missing bit in my car
  12. I stole a pic from vortex: http://turbogfx.net/images/car_parts/ci ... _small.jpg can you see the filter element??? do you guys have it in your kr metering head?
  13. I think it won't fit kr pre-silencer, wont't it? Exhaust manifold and downpipe differs from 9a to kr in this pic.
  14. I bought myself a tool kit for christmas :norty: :norty: could anyone say if the manifold posted (the picture) in the first post would fit a kr? or is it 9a specific? as kr has no cat, shouldn't it be "longer" to reach the middle silencer box???
  15. hi. I found a web site in my city that sells door rubber seals. I would like to replace the ones that are now in my car (which are totally cracked), but I would like to se some pics of a corrado ones' section. here you are the web site, http://www.exmolper.com/Gomas%20Puerta.html there are different types so if anyone has a picture of a corrad one, would avoid me taking mine apart :) thanks!
  16. it is what I thought, but abs isn't that flexible, isn't it?
  17. hmm then, it will mix with the spoiler's plastic, won't it? I'd need to find what kind of plastic it is made of as well, so I can get a propper glue here in Spain as I think peetex isn't sold here :( thanks :)
  18. they have both analog and digital passat's, even with big or small mfa screen. if I manage to fix all my issues and sell my old rear dampers............................................ :norty:
  19. I'm going to fix it as it is cracked and I need to find a glue or something that mixes with the plastic and makes a strong but flexible union. any thoughts? what kind of plastic is it made of? thanks :)
  20. yes but second hand parts may be worse than the assembly I have.. I will have a look at ebay anyways. thanks
