1. None so blind as those who will not see..... Yup it's more than a days walk.
2. Cue Telly Savalas "If a picture paints a thousand words" etc.
3. Ah, the power of the internet, should have thought about that. Well at the worst I can have fun sticking bits of metal together to pass the time now I'm retired.
4. She who must be obeyed has bought me one of these for Christmas http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_21512.htm Anybody know anything about them?
5. Thanks to StueyB. Window Control Module delivered quickly and well packed.
6. Didn't win the poetry thing so no money but got a bottle of "The Singleton" 12 year old single malt as runner up. Tonight I did an invited evening and got free beer all night. As I sit with a large single(ton) malt I have decided I cannot let the Corrado fade away as spare parts. Question:- As early parts are becoming scarcer than hens teeth is it worth switching the front bumper etc to late model as it seems parts are more available. Wullie
7. I'll wait till I calm down a bit and make a more sensible decision then. Heading out now to take part in a Poet Laureate competition with a prize of £150. That would cover a few bits.
8. Had it about 14 years now. It's having it's 21st birthday party on the 4th January. I suppose it will have to stay off the wine because of it's injuries.
9. No CCTV or witnesses. However my luck is changing. This just missed the Corrado and my neighbour is making offerings to the lampost.
10. I'm not even going to bother with insurance. I'll probably just tidy it up and run it till the MOT's up then break it, after buying another one of course. It was in the car park at work but cars and lorries reverse into it to turn. Assuming it was a lorry going by the damage. Just my luck really, retire again at the end of the week so should have plenty of time to hit the wing with a hammer and use up the country's supply of filler and fibreglass. Will need to get hold of an indicator though.
11. Came back to the C today to find this. Not a happy bunny.
12. How much for the Electrical Window Control Module 191 959 875 posted to Paisley, Scotland?
13. I'm with rustynuts on this one. It's only two allen bolts to get it off and look. Once the engine is warm I took mine off again and ran the engine to check that it wasn't leaking when it was supposed to be off.
14. Electric windows stopped working along with the central locking today, with the drivers window half down and a hurricane driven hailstorm in progress. Extremely unpleasant. Cheched the fuses but could find nothing wrong. When I got home I stripped the door (in the drive), put some power to the motor terminals and got the window closed. Searched on here and discovered there is another fuse at the top of the fusebox and after a bit if a fiddle got it changed and everything working. What a heck of a place to put a fuse! You need ten inch double jointed fingers to swap it. Is there any way to move the windows manually that I don't know about if the power or motor goes?
15. Good guidance on gear linkage here http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?42188-Gear-selection-adjustment
16. Try here, the search is your friend as someone once said. http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?42188-Gear-selection-adjustment
17. And here was me thinking it was India Pale Ale. Ah well I've bought it now.
18. Apollo 18 - Just repeat the word rubbish to every aspect of this and you will be just about spot on. Blair Witch on the Moon but pretty rubbish. Typical "found film" but a waste of time and money. What special effects there were, rubbish. I'll give it 5/100 based on the percentage of movie time I was interested. Went home and put on my DVD of Nosferatu, a 1922 horror movie which blew this away in all departments, including special effects. In case you're wondering, I didn't like it.
19. Mine is like me. old and decrepit so probably in the £500 to £700 price range. Taxi driver offered me £1200 recently, still got it. nuff said.
20. Not tried it personally but if you get another battery and a set of jump leads, crawl under the car and connect the negative to an earth point on the car and the live to the live terminal on the starter motor or solenoid it should push current through the system to allow you to use the alarm fob.
