1. Welcome to the forum. When it breaks all the answers are here.
2. Worth checking out the engine earth connections next time you have the bonnet up.
3. Ah, the Transatlantic Sessions. Got an invite to the recording of series 3 I think it was, at Strathgarry House up Killiekrankie way. Absolutely fantastic day, and night, and more my style than all this techno synthesiser stuff. This weekend I'm doing the Weaving Musical Threads events where I've been listed as a Troubador!!! Over Saturday and Sunday I'm singing folk songs, reading my own poetry, reading Tannahill poetry and being MC at another couple of poetry events. Not an amp in sight. Never thought I'd become a professional poet, can't be many of them on the forum
4. I had this strange vision of you lying on your back doing the dying fly thing. Quite disturbing really.
5. At least you wouldn't get asked for identification.
6. Waved at my reflection is a store window. Got a wave back. Felt lonely.
7. Not genius, just old. ---------- Post added at 3:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:32 PM ---------- Try mole grips. Get the belt as tight round the pulley as you can, clamp it the grips then lay the whole caboodle on the ground. Use a foot on the belt, grip bit to stop it moving about and do the hammer bit. Arrange it so that you are hitting down toward the mole grip. It's awkward but achievable. Don't hit the alternator or your toes. The wire on mine is pretty thin as well.
8. What I do to get the pulley bolt undone (alternator off the car) is to put an old belt round the pulley, put the loose end of the belt into a vice and then tighten the vice while pulling down on the belt. This tightens the belt onto the pulley and usually a couple of "taps" with a hammer is enough to get the bolt moving. The friction of the belt keeps the pulley from turning. Hope that makes some kind of sense.
9. If you were born on the 29th you would have to be at least 72 before you would be officially 18 and be allowed to buy a beer! And I thought Christmas day was a bad day to have your birthday
10. You may find this an interesting bit of reading. http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9062
11. Is the road OK, you must have given it quite a smack. Wishing you a quick recovery. If it helps I find a nice red wine quite an effective analgesic.
12. (Gets my walking frame and hearing aid.) Welcome back to the fold, hope your search is successful
13. Sounds like back to basics time as you have had everything off the engine. Ignition timing, fuel mixture, cam timing and the above mentioned check of all hoses would be my starting points.

Sad about the car but glad your wife is OK. Hope the insurance works out well for you. There seems to be a lot of Corrado's getting damaged on here recently.
15. I've got some spares, you can have them for 5 pence each plus postage. Still working and no noise.

Poor thing

I smell resurectionists.
17. I used a small mole grip to hold the screw as I put it into the roll pin. That way it grips the screw more firmly and you can put more pressure on it as you turn the screw. I found that with a screwdriver the screw would slip.
18. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Took the grandson and a couple of his pals to see this. They loved it. I found it quite entertaining but predictable but then it's for kids and I probably thought too much. 6/10
19. If the doc gives me Viagra instead of nifedepine hopefully it'll be duvets I'm rolling about under
20. Well it’s all together again. Before After I would like to thank all the members of the forum for their kind words and encouragement when my first thought was to scrap the car. A special thanks to treyvt and dragonfir3 for the parts and my mate George for lending me his campervan and accompanying me on a 1200 mile trip in 27 hours to collect them. Without you all there would be one less Corrado on the road. Now for the paintwork and ................
21. Only took it for three days then went back to thermal underwear and red wine, assuming it was the nifedepine your raging about. He was only trying to help and it didn't work. It only really affects me when it's cold though if I hold a cold pint too long my fingers turn white and go numb.
22. Got it all stuck back together today, quite pleased as I managed to get everything to line up well. Needs a good clean then get into the paintwork. I'm getting too old for rolling about under cars in the driveway. Going to the quacks this week so may enquire about the Viagra treatment. It's got to be better than the nifedipine I got previously. Endless headaches and my ankles swelled up to about twice their size.
23. So finally got round to repairing the damage today now that temperatures have risen slightly and came across a few little surprises. I got rear ended and pushed into the car in front damaging both ends in the last hour of the last millennium. Car was repaired at the Insurers preferred bodyshop. Today I found the splitter was held on by four self tappers, one bumper bolt was loose and the arch liners were held on by a wild and varied assortment of slotted, phillips and hex bolts. The spraying of WD40 for the past few weeks made most of the disassembly straightforward. Reassembly has gone pretty well too with only the lights, liners and some odds and ends still to go on. All in all a pretty good day. Only had to stop twice to get feeling back in my hands and feet due to the Renauds though the latest treatment they are talking about is believe it or not - Viagra! Now that could get interesting.
