Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (Group Buy 2014)
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Southie's topic in Group Buy Feelers
hi hasan I would but the issue is posting the stuff m8 :( IIRC royal mail or someone changed the posting rules shortly after I received my cans such that you are not able to send flammable/explosive material though the post -
hello both :)
-
tidy nice garage too. is that a defender peeking out?
-
I see, thanks
-
cool, post up how you get on in due course :)
-
I apologise if you have taken offence, that was not my intention. I am not upset, as I said it is entirely up to you how much you want to sell them for but in the knowledge they were originally nowhere near that expensive maybe 'taking advantage' is a better term than 'greedy' if the item in question was an antique which was 100 years old for example I would agree with you but it is not it is a part for a car, not only that but it is not even a functional part FYI frequent users & posters on this forum regularly see so called rare parts appear on here at very inflated prices compared to their original cost & it never goes down very well with the community. I will stop clogging your thread good luck with your ebay sale but I must say I hope the current project to remanufacture these is successful & sees them back on sale at a sensible price

Mic that's a cracker! I can almost see your AP's peeking out behind the wheels ;) Chris - I like your posh dealer based shot lol
-
give it a go m8 you will be surprised at the amount of different receptacles it will house :)
-
EJ I am seriously going to have to drive down to see & hear this in the flesh when it's finished if you would be so kind as to accommodate me!? plus your caddy & Bristol too pls :) lol
-
:) that's 2 ive made up in recent weeks now - someone else liked the 'winner winner chicken dinner' i posted a few weeks ago lol
-
no you would be quite wrong there. they would only ever be worth the amount I paid for them. plus as I have a conscience I would not feel right in heavily inflating the price. it is a shame that what you started as a potentially kind & helpful thread for others on this forum has simply become one of greed. I understand it is entirely up to you to sell them for whatever price you wish but it does not sit well with the generously natured community on this forum

im glad you thought so too Jim talk about trying to take advantage of a part being obsolete!
-
ha ha I made it up lol it was just in reference to your corrado cherry being popped :)
-
£400 What the actual f***!!!!

yeah they definitely don't look right im not in the VR today so cant nip out & take you some pics of mine, howerver, if youlook on page 2 of my build thread you can clearly see the top rad hose & how it runs across to the expansion tank & then behind the the block http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44751-g0ldf1ng3r-s-VR-amp-return-of-the-valver-VR-wheel-swap/page2

nice popping :)
-
Refox that is awesome information & detail. I will read both parts with great interest thank you :)

if your front shocks & springs are new then I would imagine the front setup is fairly close to factory - what is the bonnet dip & rise like when you brake hard or accelerate hard? I know my VR before the KW fitting used to dip & rise quite a lot, however the shocks/springs which were replaced were probably the originals how old is the rear setup? suspension has increased in over the past 5 years, I paid £600 for my V1's direct from KW all that time ago, they are now around the £750 mark no offence but £400 is not going to go far in terms of coilovers other than the cheaper brands which do not perform or last very well perhaps it would be suitable to refresh the rear shocks & springs & then see how your body roll is, if at which point you want it a bit firmer then you could look at front &/or rear strut braces to further reduce the up & down travel & thus hopefully get the ride you desire there are a fair few on here that like the bilstein B12 setup, IIRC, but I have no experience of them nor any idea about costs - hopefully someone will chip in about them for you
