Been using poorboys wax on the wheels and a separate blue wax for the body work which smells of strawberries both work really well

Definitely try some different brands I found my Bro's Kona made me sit more upright where as my old marin streched my arms out more. This can be adjusted with a different length stem but its best to get the frame the correct size as stems affect how the bike handles , too long and its like steering a barge. When buying my specialized I wanted decent forks and hydraulic discs these specs start at around $600 which is what I bugeted for.

I'm 5,11 and ride a 19 inch specialized and that's spot on for me. all bike makes are slightly different as they measure the bikes from different points ie above and below the top tube and bottom bracket.

Are they splits you have just bought? I have only ever seen 1 piece in 17's

Wheel suggestions for a Corrado virgin
captainredeye replied to larceny fink's topic in Newbies Hangout
Bbs rx do have a oem look about them and are rather smart. if your going to use them all year round or as a daily be wary of split rims and chrome finishes they generally need more taking care especially in the winter months. Personally I'm swayed towards borbet a's subtle but special -
Hi jake i have a spare brand new flange for a vr gear box its the earlier type with a circlip on the end later ones (94 onwards???) are tightned with a bolt me thinks, was the last one in stock in Germany bought it but ended up getting a 2nd hand gear box instead. The flange alone cost me £130 but is just sat around so really not needed and could do with getting rid. drop me a pm and we can sort something out.

Side spot on! Did you use lepsons and what finish was used in the center's? -
Have been looking at the bosch silver halfrauds £120, eurocarparts £82, thats for the corrado but the Varta look like a very good alternative

Cheers guys. The surface close to the end of the chamber has been roughed up I will be using some fine grit paper 2500 so that should hone it ok. Have been told the seal does most of the work so I will give them a go . Going to use them and will put in my thread how they work out. Cheers Ben

I have just had a pair of calipers returned from shot blasting, now it appears they were not masked properly and the piston chamber has been blasted with sand. Are these calipers still safe to use?could i get away with just using very fine grit paper to hone the chamber or are they now junk, if so i wont be recommending a certain shot blasting firm in Melksham.

As long as subcool was given the chance to up his offer I don't see the problem. Talking of under hand my brother viewed and had a offer accepted on a t4 went with money to pick up and found another guy driving away in the van having offered 100 more ,I understand this but the communication wasn't there, this made my blood boil somewhat as it wasn't fair ****ing some one about. We should all move on as its not a big deal and a great forum and we can forgive and forget and really whats 15 quid in the grand scheme of things (particularly if you can afford an r32 ) not wanting to have a stab but gazumping someone over 15 pounds do you really need it that badly

It's a regular fixture up there if you fancy an easy rado spot. The lamin-x I think is gun smoke it the darkest one they do have spare fogs to alternate the colours. I think my thread has a picture of the light anthracite if not I will try and post one later. I originally wanted a kind of dark anodised effect but i think it would be hard to replicate in paint and i don't think anodising is tough enough for car wheels. -

Glad you couldn't let Huw go, the rado is a hard car to replace and most owners who sell seem to buy another one six months later! Those cups have a big lip on them so a chrome edge will stand out nicely, i had lepson's do my rx2's in light anthracite but they do a darker shade of it so worth checking out. When i was there last they had a set of bmw wheels in what i can only describe as a high polish titainium had almost a petrol on water quality to it looked very smart. -

I was looking for a vr6 radiator cowling and came across this site http://www.tdnparts.com/products/Fan-Shroud.-Corrado-VR6.html anyone used them before? i suspect not all parts will fit our euro models but there must be some parts to be had that were used both sides of the pond.

Great job on the scuttle and the wheels are spot on! I'm in two minds as to getting a set of these or just have the originals refurbed
-
I'm with the thinking if your that concerned about fuel economy and saving money don't buy a corrado, my vr get maybe 35 mpg but I get around 24 in the cold weather mainly because I didn't buy a car with 2.9 liters to save the environment (sorry mother nature) or my bank balance but to put my foot down and enjoy it, that's what I figure sporty cars are for. You could get a bike or a second car but that will cost more! To hell with fuel economy and enjoy the bloody thing.

love the wheels bud, good effort all round!

Dude gladly have second dibs on these, give me a pm if shaun doesn't have them.
