  1. Come across this issue before on shrinkable clay but always for fast growing vines with fluctuating water demand within meters of a wall not hedges that are 7m away. Its not my area of expertise but I have the regs at work and can ask a few guys, on the face of it seems unreasonable to me but inspectors need handled with kids gloves. Why are you set on a concrete ground floor anyway, why not timber joist it? You could seek the advice of a aboricultarist who deal with these issues all the time too, for a few hundred quid they could do a survey with recommendations.
  2. That has to be a record lol. Welcome along :)
  3. That is engineering sculpture, frickin awesome looking manifold!
  4. Lovely, my first valver was Bordeaux pearl, everyone bangs on about silver and blackberry but that colour right there is their equal at least. Never seen a slide hammer ding remover either, educational pics lol.
  5. I think it's brilliant, brings a tear to my eye seeing the athletes achieving their dreams after so much training, and the opening ceremony was genius, I intend to lap the highlights up every night for the next few weeks, definitely wish I had tickets for a proper event - but not football.

    L reg 1995?!

Is it a northern Irish car, as Z is an NI identifier? or the plate could have been originally as they tend to be kept as private plates when exported from NI especially if they make a name.
  7. Im 36, currently on corrado nr4, have had them on and off for 10 years but obsessed about them since I was a teenager. The average age seems pretty high, so I'm guessing I wasn't the only teenager in the 80's and 90's who thought they were über cool :)
  8. Nice acquisition, makes the removal half worth while, you doing back to back rolling road tests?! :)
  9. Sensodyne toothpaste - I don't give a rats ass what a 'dental health practisioner teeth cleaning facilitator' thinks, Get a real dentist to recommend it and I'll consider buying it. And anything that relies on a **** poor sample size survey conducted on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in Hartlepool.

    Music thread...

pretty certain most will dislike this, but currently got these guys on loop - adventure club dubstep http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfWTyNVls1s&feature=plcp more here on their soundcloud page 'wait' worth a listen :)
  11. yep did exactly the same myself, future proofs it for next time too - use self locking nuts :)
  12. I'm guessing it's not worth asking for anything from the roof!
  13. Looking well. I think the majority of us have been let down at one time or another by these cars :) If you're tempted by a vr I think you may as well buy one rather than spend money on the 16v which may be short term, prices are in your favour and looks like you can sort most vr niggles yourself, just get the most sorted one you can, some strong contenders out there at the minute.
  14. Very very nice, I think the brocks look really well, makes it look nice and purposeful. How does the obd2 feel, worth doing?

    Music thread...

just discovered these tonight, similar to M83 [video=youtube;-Sg7YkPnEYw]
  16. Yeh not a bad looking yoke at all, nice spot as well overlooking Staunton sands :)
  17. Yep happened to me today, always when using ie never on iPad.
  18. Yep agree with that they tend to learn surprisingly quickly, but often their subject knowledge is very superficial. That's no criticism, they learn what they need to in order to pose the tricky questions. Credit to you being an expert witness, something I'm toying with doing myself in future but not so keen on the legal proceedings, it must be tough!
  19. Good result there! A dumb ass bin man let a large bottle bin role onto my car a few years ago, had two witnesses, one a traffic warden, the only response I got was cutely worded letters from Belfast city council!
  20. Yep has a certain degree of schadenfreude for sure, nice see the tabloid turds behaving themselves too.
  21. £20 that corrado sunderland will vote 'yes'.
  22. Would I not need the coil pack ecu also, need to do some research here :)
  23. I'd buy this tomorrow rob, problem is I need to convert from dizzy to coil pack first, I think the fact it's wiring work puts people off also.
  24. Yes mate recognise it from a thread back in the 90's and I know you 'can' but the point is you 'shouldn't' as it's sealed with a rubber grommet from the factory on a 9a, mixture is controlled by an actuator on the side of the metering head using the ecu inputs from the lambda unlike the kr which uses electro mechanical sensors under load and the adjustment screw for base idle. If the mixture is out on a 9a it's usually because some other link in the system is faulty.
