  1. Let me see what I can do, may be able to sort something out.........
  2. Dave, I'm so sorry mate, I genuinely completely forgot!
  3. I'm off working abroad until December Chuggs. Back in August for a couple of weeks but not sure it'll be worth taxing it for the month just for the sake of it.
  4. Bye for now car............. :(
  5. Congrats on your purchase! Get some pics up as soon as you can! :thumbleft:
  6. Good budget and good attitude to what you want. Good luck with your search mate, even if you have dismissed the best colour Storm!
  7. The one in mine is originally out of my Valver too. 1990 was Blue if they are different. No idea why people pay so much on ebay for an original one. The contents of mine is still all in the original selophane wrapping, but its well out of date regardless. As mentioned, new ones are around £25 and exactly the same shape/size to fit too.
  8. It's hard to understand how you would feel unless it happens to you I guess. I certainly would never put these thieves on a pedestal, but as mentioned, the media tend to raise them up a bit and people get drawn in by it. I've been lucky in that the only thing I've ever had stolen was a hedge trimmer and power drill from the garden shed. If it was something I truly cared about which may have been the case - not to mention valuable in a safety deposit box, that you'd also entrusted to a company, and pay for the privilege too, I can't imagine how upset and frustrated I'd be.
  9. Not been updated for 2 years Wayne. But in answer to your question, yes that's the rear sunroof drain.
  10. I use Gliptone which is pretty good. The cleaner is a little gloopy so you tend to use more than needed, but the conditioner is very good. I also have some of the furniture clinic conditioner which is also very good, and gives you long lasting leather smell! The Gliptone ones I have are 250ml, and the will give you around 5 full applications, with 1 clean and 2 condition each application.
  11. Very nice, welcome to the forum!
  12. Release bearing is sold separately in most cases unless stated Michael. Depending how you want to go with this one (keeping genuine), LUK or Sachs release bearings can be had very cheaply - less than £15.
  13. Think of that as an added bonus, you can spend on the car without the whine in your ear! Haha!
  14. Why dismiss classic Green? It is the best colour after all.......
  15. OK I'll get my coat........ Sorry, just assumed it was the same as the mk3 Golf 8v I had.
  16. Pretty sure its a cable operated clutch isn't it Michael? Check the arm on the gearbox is operating at full travel, and that the rubber bush and retaining plate is in good order. The older type cables can also be adjusted with a slip ring iirc, whereas the newer types are self adjusting. Worth a check too I reckon.
  17. May be worthwhile bleeding them again Tony. I had an utter mare with it. I put 4 litres of fluid through it yet I was still a bit unsure, although it did firm up after a little drive around. I had to rope the missus in to help me do it manually in the end! I had the abs pump off which I mentioned, changed the rear bias/compensator, changed front and rear hoses, and swapped the MC as I thought it may have been at fault, but was exactly the same. I bled everything including abs pump, clutch MC and slave, and brake MC too. The only thing I can put it down to being different from my car, was the disks and pads are slightly more worn, and I had the braided hoses.
  18. Yeah think Tony is just trying to trace a bit of history of the car, coming from you Dave means it's likely been with a forum member at some point, although I think they are on ebay sometimes iirc?
  19. Yeah aqua blue is pearl. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=37863
  20. You don't need to exceed the raise speed for it to come back down, just the lower speed. So, if you raise it manually when washing, drive up the street at 20mph, when you slow to 15 mph (or whatever it is exactly), it'll come back down. :thumbleft:
  21. I didn't bother in the end Tony. The seller of that Golf mentioned above didn't respond to messages so I didn't get it. Managed to get mine working finally with a little help swapping known good bits from yours. (pump & controller). I put them back though once I knew they were good. :thumbleft: I had to replace every component of the system except for 1 front and 1 rear sensor though, including looms which I got from VR6Gar out of his breaker. I managed to get a brand spankers pedal position sensor from here too which helped. All in my members gallery.
  22. Looks incredible Daren! :thumbleft:
  23. Not had it since last summer, and don't think it went that high either. Went up to around 100 and stage 2 kicked in bringing it down. Was when we had mega weather and I was sat in a jam for a while. Tonys car was tested when stationary though, as it only had a short blast prior to MOT for a quick Italian tune up. Fans kicked in correctly though 100%.
