  1. It was very nerve wracking Rob, glad to see she's still got it though! Dave, James, thanks for the sympathetic response. I can always count on you guys for that.
  2. See, aside from engine work which if I were a prospective buyer I'd like to know what wad actually done, I think that's hit it's highest mark. Maybe I'm wrong and prices really have increased, but I don't think it's much of a bargain at all.
  3. Been a while since I updated, though not a great deal to report. I've just been enjoying driving it since it has been back on the road after paint, and I've now got a couple of paint chips to show for it. I've still not fitted the Bilsteins, although hoping to in the next week or 2. I've got all parts ready to fit them, new top mounts front and rear, front spring top plates, rear bump stops etc etc. I've developed a little problem where it occasionally fails to turn over at the turn of the key. It seems like the starter motor is sticking as you can hear it clunk a little, but I've bought a replacement ignition switch anyway to rule that out. I've also done the headlight switch loom fuse mod because I don't want it to burst into flames now! In the mean time, I've been sorting the Aqua ready for MOT which it failed today. I'll get on to that in a minute. Had a little trip up to Stealth at the beginning of the month. An enjoyable day, and good to meet some new faces, as well as catch up with old ones. First run produced the best result which I was happy with. Although if I'd not got the car up to temp, apparently it would have been even better. Its my first ever RR so you live and learn. I was shaking like the proverbial dog when taking the vid, hence the poor quality at points! So onto the Aqua. I'd replaced all flexis and bled the brakes, but the disks were pretty pitted as its not seen the road in 10 months and has been left out exposed to the elements. I took it for an Italian tune up just before MOT, and stomped on the brakes as the pedal was quite spongy - common after fitting 288s and bleeding etc. It didn't clear, and one of the reasons it failed the MOT. This is actually because the brake compensator has completely seized apparently, resulting in very low rear brake effort. I never thought to check to be fair. The other things it failed on............................. - N/S front wheel bolts loose - All four tyres not fitted in accordance with sidewall instructions. - They were all running in the wrong direction! As you can see, I'm a bit of a pleb! Hopefully I can free off the compensator and bleed it all again, then it'll be a very sorted car. For now, I'm content with being a douche............. :bonk::bonk::bonk:
  4. I was lucky and got a set with brand new blades for that price posted. I'm a serial searcher of all things Corrado on ebay, so managed to snap em up pretty sharpish when they were advertised.
  5. Brake compensator is seized so rear brakes are poor, (I didn't even notice or check tbh), and "cough cough" front wheel bolts weren't tight, and all 4 wheels were on the wrong way (directional). :bonk:
  6. I'm sure it'll be fine Rob, but you can't help but be nervous! I took the Aqua for the MOT today actually. Failed, but only a couple of easily sorted problems. Mostly to do with me being a douche! haha!
  7. It used to be better when her bum wasn't pixalated Wayne. :norty:
  8. There were a set on ebay this morning for about £45 posted. Not sure if they're still there though. Just checked, I'd not read the ad properly. They are standard arms with "Lupo style blades"
  9. Relays are also fitted. Loom runs down the passenger side to the rear door card where they're fitted.
  10. Woop woop! Get down, rip the keys out of their hands and get enjoying the car Wayne! :thumbleft:
  11. I had one sat in my shed for about a year after my Valver was totalled. I offered it on here a couple of times for I think a tenner posted! No one even wanted it at that price, so I binned it in the end. Shame a post like this didn't happen at the time, as I'm sure someone would have benefited from it.
  12. It'll return down if you drive over 15 mph then come to a stop. No need to get it to raise speed, so a quick trip to the end of the street will let you know if its working as it should.
  13. Trouble is Wendy, I think the film the studio part in the week before airing.
  14. Just the fogs Ej, it's what the cool kids do!
  15. There are a few cables behind the fuse box that aren't connected in, they're for options and other market components so don't worry about that. As said, pull the stereo and try that first, but the other most common problem is the control module located behind the dash, beside the manual switch. I'd do what you can as most things are relatively cheap, before handing it over to a garage that charge a fortune in labour alone.
  16. Hi Ian, when I cleaned mine out, I used hot water with degreaser, and scrubbed it out with a babies bottle brush, then let it soak in a sink full of hot water and bleach. Finally I washed it all out with hot soapy water and it came out like new too.
  17. Give it a wash and see what the paintwork is like. Tbh, its probably not worth a great deal. 110k is reasonable mileage but not particularly low. The fact its been laid up so long will mean that quite a lot of perishables like bushes, hoses, tyres, cambelt etc will probably need changing out. Cams are a plus, but won't add a great deal to the sale price. Most will have plenty of history, so again it won't add a great deal. Leather is generally a plus though provided its in reasonable condition. Get some photos up, and decide if you want to put the money into it yourself, or flog it on as a resto project.
  18. What you talkin bout Willis! Best colour of the lot!
  19. Engine bay earths corrode or getting dirty. Follow the neg battery terminal down to the little post. Give it a good wire brush. Also starter motor earth point, and the rear right of the engine block (iirc) have earth points. Worth checking them out and making sure everything looks in good order.
  20. Alarm should de-activate from the fob as soon as you hook it up to another car to jump it. Get the other car running and leave it for five minutes, give it a few revs to get current flowing to the dead battery to charge a little, as if its completely dead it'll take a while to even start.
  21. The alarm playing up is likely just because of the battery issues. The ABS system isn't active at all when switched off, so it shouldn't create any problems, and I can't see it being anything else around there that can be disturbed.............. Yeah get a multimeter, and test voltage to the battery when running, then with load (all lights etc on). Should be around 14.2v running, and drop to around 13v minimum with load on.
  22. Should be ok provided everyone coughs up in good time. I'll give you a bell when the OP has them ready to ship out, and we'll sort it from there mate.
  23. It won't be anything to do with the brakes, its likely to be either just a duff battery, alternator problem, or a large earth causing the battery to drain down. You'll need either an auto sparky, or get yourself a multimeter and test for current draw. Remove fuses one at a time and test again. etc....... until you have next to none.
