  1. It's a simple shaft driven vane pump Rog. Not heard many (if any) instances of them failing. Unless the mesh on the pickup has become blocked, I can't see it being the pump. Easy enough to check thougg by dropping the sump and removing the two hex bolts that secure it mate.
  2. I didn't change my clutch when I removed the engine, as it had been changed 4 years and 20k previously, and it looked in very good order. I did replace the release bearing though with a gsf LUK one and it's been Fine. No clunking or whining at all........... Although the wife more than makes up for it!
  3. Yep, that's the Badger!
  4. Part numbers were 535837473A (left), and 535837474A (right) Michael. I can't remember which one was out of stock, and it doesn't mention anything on the order confirmation email either, but they are both showing out of stock now. I ordered on the 16th. Might give them a ring tomorrow to see what they say mate.
  5. By the way Rob, I think you did! I ordered them along with a few other bits last week, and one was out of stock. I put down to send the entire order together when all are back in stock, but no idea when they'll have them. Still showing out of stock now!
  6. Generally (although not always) only happens when up to temp. As Sean (Jaymo) says, the wire is at a right angle, and the insulation tends to break down right there. It's held in by a single M6 (I think) hex bolt. Access is the hard part, changing is simples.

    Caliper colour

288s don't. Snug fit, but fit all the same under the standard 15" wheels.
  8. Nothing to say that hasn't already been said mate. :thumbleft:
  9. Shame your so far away, could do with a front bumper. After removing mine today, I'm almost ashamed to give it to the bodyshop to sort out and paint!
  10. Ok great, I'll have it please. Pm on the way. :thumbleft:
  11. £100 collected Daren?

Silver on blackberry all day long.......
  13. Just popped up on ebay. Cant link it in as on my phone, but type the title in, and read the description......... Yes you did my friend
  14. Fair enough mate, your passion is commendable! I suppose I'd love to be able to afford these types of things, but can't. I'm lucky in that a nice work bonus has give me enough for a few comforts, including the respray which the missus put into perspective when she gave the green light by saying "go for it, it's unlikely you'll have the money again for something like that" Apologies if I've offended anyone too who does make these kind of purchases, probably just me being a tight arsed git!
  15. I said the same thing James, and I agree with Hasan, he did comment with "who am I to judge". I just can't get my head round that price for plastic trims, nor can I get my head round people spending that much on wheels tbf. Like you say though, each to their own. If some can afford it then fair play.
  16. IUOTE=DriverVR6;1032743]Neither am I Sean, I use my VR everyday, but the facts are the facts, so don't shoot the messenger. I have another new set which I'm keeping for myself. I'd be happy to let them be copied, but as I've said before, they're a 4 piece construction and not easy (if not impossible) to replicate Not shooting anyone down mate, yours seemed to be a very reasonable price in comparison. Obviously people are willing to pay a hell of a lot more! The set on ebay were at £245 with ten minutes to go. I just couldn't justify that amount. That said I've got a mortgage, and married with two young children. If those want to spend that amount of money if they have next to nothing outgoing, more fool them. Like I said though, unless your after trophies at concourse, I'd just get a good used set and make them look their best.
  17. Good job I'm not in it to be a show pony then.
  18. Took mine off today too. I've taken the wedges out of the clips at the back Matt, but is there anything I've missed? Couldn't get the iron off and it's in a pretty **** state. I didn't want to tug too hard in case I break it, although I ran out of time so didn't try too hard. I also have a mild thin steel cover thing over the area around the tow loop, although it's riddled with holes. Is there supposed to be one on the exhaust side too?
  19. Trim off the bit that breaks up, coat in c4, job done an unless you know exactly what your looking at, they'll look pretty Damn good. £331 is beyond ridiculous imo. Especially since some have reported it happening to replacements within 5 years.
  20. I bid on them last week up to £180, and refused to go higher on the principle that they're just a couple of bits of plastic. They just sold for £331 + delivery!!!! Holy ****! :crazies::eek:
