1.8t non VRs is 150bhp using the k03 turbo, 1.8t VRs is 180bhp and uses the k03s. On the drag strip (runway) at Bruntingthorpe the other week, ChrisL's mate in his boggo 2.0 Mk1 Focus was closer to me than I'd have thought possible. I'd revved to 3.5k rpm at take off and had a pretty clean get away, and shifted just after the redline in every gear. I had the missus in the car with me admittedly, but he was only a car length or two behind me until about 90-100 where I left him a bit. Its surprising how much easier power comes to newer cars. I'd imagine a VR6 would get its arse handed to it on a plate by a mk6 GTI personally.

Just had a look and I don't think they sell the door handle seals mate. Think we're out of luck on that one. :(
-
Yeah thats fine mate. I'll have a trawl through now, but I don't think the part numbers will be the same on ARZ. Send them across anyway mate, it may help.
-
Yeah wing mirror seals mate. Not seen the door handle seals but I'll have another look through the hole Corrado parts list again. I could do with a set too if they're available.
-
How long before you'll need them Matt? I'm putting my order in with ARZ next week so if you don't need anything else from them, I'll get another set and post em up to you...
-
Not seen it in the metal, but from what I've read in your ad, I'd say it's priced very reasonably. Have you had anyone come to view the car?
-
Your about a week too late, ChrisL had his up at the top end of your budget, and it sold within a few days. That one I'd describe as mint too.
-
No. Theres loads of seam sealer holding it on. If you remove the arch liner screws nearest the indicator, you should be able to push it back enough to get your hand up.
-
Pretty sure he doesn't have a test bench, although he'll be able to do a generic map, but it won't get the best out of your engine. Definitely change the oil cooler. I had one go on my old mk3 Golf whilst on the A38. New engine required.............. For what they cost new, its a no brainer. As mentioned, all plastics (crack pipe, temp sensor housing, etc etc) and their associated gaskets, including both inlet mani gaskets, and tb gasket. As long as the gear teeth look ok on your oil pump, it should last. At that mileage though, its probably just a little noisy as the teeth will have some wear. The list always grows no matter how much much you prepare for the work, so keep a little money in reserve for just such an occurrence.

Scrub that, it goes across somewhere following the fuel rail, then down the centre of the block to the filter housing.
-
Pretty sure it goes right across the front of the block Chris. Just above the oil filter housing and heat exchanger. I can't remember exactly where that clip goes, but it should become clear when it's been routed.

It's Ok James, I don't bite that easily! I'm in the forces with good friends from Scotland, Wales, and NI. I need to have thick skin at times I tell you!

Set of roof trims currently on ebay with about 4 days to run. Currently at £240 odd though. Well past my max bid of £180. I refuse to be have my pants pulled down and receive a pineapple for a couple of bits of plastic, so until they come up at a reasonable price, I'm out.
-
Yep! It was a deliberate mistake Kev. :smug:

Its on VW Classic parts site. E68.50. If you call VW heritage and quote the classic part number, they may be able to order it in for you. Not generally any more expensive, and free delivery from Heritage. http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/Scirocco-Corrado/Corrado/Karosserie/Aussen/Blende.html

That Concept has been around for a while now. In fact, its been posted on here a couple of times already over the last year or so. I don't think it looks too bad tbh, although maybe a little big. Looks a similar size to the newer style Mustang which I don't think it should be. As Matt has said, it looks like a Civic and Rocco bodged together, and in a recent thread I'd prefer it to be a direct competitor for either the TT or R8. Obviously Aldi being part of VW, they're never going to do that.

Don't buy the soft interior brush from the detailing sites. They're about 6 quid from them, but I kid you not theyre exactly the same as any reasonable quality shoe brush you can pick up from any supermarket for a quid!

Doubt I'll have car back from paint and on the road by then unfortunately. Would have been a good 'first outing' too. :( -
Looks ace that. :thumbleft: Can't wait for mine to be done too!!
-
They look huge though, sure they'll fit?
-
Pulled this off ebay as it only got to about £2 then.............
-
Mine has body coloured boot too, but I'm sure the shells were primer dipped, then base coat sprayed obviously without windows etc, as the interior under the carpets and rear seats/rear cards are light, but have a very thin base coat/overspray all over. Is yours completely different then? Do you have the original service book, as there should be a duplicate sticker on the inside of the front page. A HPI check should also confirm if there has been registered colour change in the past mate.

I'll have drivers side fog if Chris (lilfuzzer) doesn't want it.
