  1. We asked Dave Walton (the owner), and he said yeah, crack on there's nothing about!
  2. Chris didn't day that Neils car is now dead, and my throttle cable snapped on the fourth run though! Bit of choc block, jobs a good Un!
  3. Eric, if you could pass on our massive thanks for allowing myself, Neil, and ChrisL to have a few runs down the strip, we'd be very appreciative. Thoroughly mice bloke, and a really big thank you to yourself for organising everything! Very enjoyable, and great company! :thumbleft:
  4. Bet you all wish you'd camped now! Finished at 143 indicated, 138 on the satnav.
  5. Boo, poor excuse!. I'm off to bed now. Alarm set for 6.30 to wash the car ready for the 15 minute trip down the road. Fingers crossed for not washing it in the rain!
  6. Have a look in members gallery, under; seanls uuummmm storm? There are pics in the first post of how it was when I first got the car, then you'll have to trawl through somewhere around half way for when I had the bolsters done, then the last few pages for how it is now after the colourant kit.
  7. I just got the worst parts re-upholstered. Both lower and upper drivers sides cost me £150, and as long as the texture is similar, it shouldn't stand out. I also got the furniture clinic kit which cost about £135 iirc. Mine were in a real state originally, but I've been very impressed with the diy kit. Quite time consuming, but very easy to use, and the results are great! Mine will be available to view tomorrow and Sunday for anyone thinking about it, or at Bristol Volksfest on the Saturday in two weeks time.
  8. I have the laptop and cable in my boot Jamie. Just in case! Only problem is I've just remembered, the battery lasts about 30 seconds, so we'd need a supply to use it! If there's one about, you more than welcome though mate. Edit; ah, just sawith that too!
  9. Behr is a subsidiary of hella. Or the other way round....... Either way, it's marked behr/hella on it!
  10. I may well ask when I get back Tuesday actually. It's not so much the scuff as I know it'll be painted soon anyway. It's the principle, that they would rather do a bunk and hope not to be found out! That and the fact I'd just spent about 4 hours trying to make it look nice!
  11. I did park at the far end too! The missus even said for me to park rubbish so no-one could get beside me, as it was only a two bay slot! I ignored her this time, not again! As said though, at least it's before paint. I've just been over it with a bit of AG Srp that my mum's husband had in the garage, and it's took the worst off. It was mostly paint transfer, but it has took a fair bit of paint off too. I probably saw it happen as well! It was a white bloody fiesta. I saw it really close, but didn't think much of it, as it carried on and the guy got out. He made a quick exit after ordering his scran anyway obviously!
  12. Well, just got to Bristol ready to drop the kids off at the folks place in preparation for National day. Not best pleased to say the least! Dropped into maccy d's before leaving, and set off. I'd spent all afternoon washing, polishing, and waxing the car ready for the event, and we stopped off at he services half way here. Stood back admiring the car after a toilet break, and noticed this! :censored:  :bad-words: :( It obviously happened in macdonalds car park. What ****es me off most is the fact the offender didn't have the common decency to ask around who's it was, or leave a note. I also noticed that both outer cv boots have failed! I've got cv grease on the inside of both wheels. It's the first time since its been back on the road that I've spent any length of time at speed, which has obviously caused it to show itself. I supported both drive shafts, but obviously not well, enough! :( Not a great day! The only plus is that it ran perfectly well all the way here.
  13. I got that one from GSF. I thought it was a valeo item, which is why I went there in the first place, but behr/hella are a respectable brand so should be ok. Mines been fitted about a year and no probs so far.
  14. Good luck there! Not too many of them knocking about any more!

    VR6 badges

I think its the clips for the front badge that are the stumbling block for trimsport. Can't believe they've not done a rear VR6 or even rear script badge though. I mean, they do the 16v and G60 ones for heavens sake!
  16. Thats not too bad a price tbh. The Matrix itself (assuming they will probably use a cheaper alternative on trade unless you specify otherwise) will probably cost them about £30. Its easily three hours taking the approach of not removing the dash, so that's pretty standard at £40 hr labour charge. If it takes them longer due to the fact they don't know the ins and outs of a Corrado, well thats their problem! Thats a good shout below.
  17. How much fuel is in it, and is it fresh? 6 months isn't a long time, but the fuel will start to go stale. Can you hear the fuel pump priming at second turn of the ignition? Relays are a common problem. Also check you have a spark by earthing the plugs on the block and turning it over. Worth doing a search for non starting problems, it's a pretty common question.
  18. Heater matrix replacement won't come cheap.cost is in the labour as it's a long job. Replace with a mk3 golf one from the premium gsf range, I forget the manufacturer. Heaters only working on 4 is a thermal resistor and very cheap/ easy to replace. Have a look in the wiki section for the guide mate.
  19. James, yeah I remember that, but as said, I think he's based around the Midlands somewhere which is obviously too far. nrc, thanks. Thats what I'm afraid of tbh. The screen isn't in bad condition and has very few noticeable stone chips, which is why I'm cautious about fixing something that isn't broken.
  20. When my car goes in for paint, I'll obviously have to replace the screen as it won't come out without breaking. Its had a replacement screen at some point as you can see the amount of sealant that had been used with the interior trim removed. I've had my outer trim out to check for any possible corrosion and it looks pretty sound. It went back in well too! My only problem is that I'm bricking it a bit, what with all the recent reports of poorly fitted screens, and masses of rust coming through within a matter of months! This is making me reconsider whether to pull the screen, or just remove the outer trim and paint behind it before refitting. I know there are a few fitter that come well recommended somewhere around the Midlands, but this is a bit too far obviously. Anyone have any recommendations for down South? Tbh, I'd want to be present for the whole time its being fitted. I hate to have to look over a "professionals" shoulder, but I'm just really worried about it!
  21. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=85841 Link to the actual event within.
  22. Get yourself to Bristol Volksfest in a couple of weeks. May well be be a few for sale there, and you can introduce yourself to us all too! :thumbleft:
  23. Thanks Mic! Sean, as much as I like these wheels, I love your CHs mate so not sure Id agree there! Thanks Chris, look forward to seeing yours too. Ride height is perfect imo. Gives a good stance and looks the part, but never had any bother with speed bumps yet. Rob, I've only got pics of it inside the workshop from when I first got it, before it had a good detail. It is a huge improvement from then though looking back, although still far from being perfect.
  24. Haha, I didn't even see this ad between it being posted to being sold as I'd gone out for a fag! I bought a set a few weeks ago that popped up on ebay for a very reasonable price. I bought them as soon as I saw them as I knew they'd be gone pretty sharpish!
  25. The grey Cabby parked to the left of it just out of shot is better mate.
